this is the first short i have seen in the new style, but i dig it. quite a bit. i actually learned about this from destructoid:
Quote:
Have you guys seen the new Mickey Mouse animated shorts on Disney Channel lately? It's pretty bizarre stuff. The style takes cues from the classic cartoons of decades past, but it's far more manic than you probably would have expected. That's all thanks to the mind of producer Paul Rudish, an award-winning animator who has worked on Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (the first one, not the CGI one), and Sym-Bionic Titan.
I like it, it bringing back some of the quality of the real old stuff, with a more "up to date" kind of joking.

I like it. Retro, but slightly modern.

Wait for it, Titans! The show is exceptionally well animated although it falls prey to many bad anime cliches, mainly bad dialogue (still a good show though).

My son is that age (almost 3) where the only thing on our TV is Disney these days. The shorts are actually pretty cool and an awesome nod to the earlier era.
