Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, probably others I'm not thinking of right now.

You are right. I still like the DKC OST more but DKC2 is also very good. Lockjaws Saga is probably my favorite.

I too really enjoy the Top Gear soundtracks. I played the sequel much more than the original.

My favorite still is the first one. Top Gear 3000 is just so different in a way I dislike

Final Fantasy X. I didn't even realize how much this game and its music had touched me until I was walking through GenCon and, on the hotel speakers, came the music that plays in Besaid. I stopped dead in my tracks and just grinned like an idiot, suddenly remembering all the amazing times I had with that game.
That music, and that game man...man.
For pure music, I'd say SOtC, though. Some of the most beautiful I've ever heard.

Zelda 3: A Link to the Past
Super MArio Kart, specifically Rainbow Road
Ninja Gaiden, lots of good music here, but especially 4-2
Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. I LOVE "Bloody Tears".
Sonic 1: Excellent soundtrack all around.

It's been mentioned several times on these boards already, but Super Castlevania IV's soundtrack is unbelievably good. Whenever I replay the game, I think a good 75% of the motivation is based on the soundtrack.

I guess "OST" would be a stretch, but a lot of stuff from Tony Hawk 1/2 or Dave Mirra's BMX 1. I used to just load it up on the TV and let the songs play on the menu when I was doing cleaning or stuff. I still listen to "Stupid Lullabies", "Police Truck", and "Don't Drag me Down" regularly, on top of those bands' other songs.
For a true OST, I'd say Bastion. I can never get enough Dobro in my life.
