So Poison's finally going to be playable. Good. This should make up for the opportunity they missed in SFIII.

I like Rolento too much not to give this a go.

I'd love to see this on Wii U, but doubt it'll happen.

The game is announced for PC/PS360 because those are the systems SF4 is already on. This update was made on the cheap and obviously after saying two years ago Arcade edition would be the last version, this is being done due to their financial troubles. It's quick money to try and offset the losses they've faced.

Speaking of the Wii U, it has two USB ports on the front. Those would be perfect for arcade sticks. People tell me there's already sticks that plug into Wii Remotes, but it's the Wii U, so why couple it to extra hardware?

They probably should just go back to 8/16-bit game development. Those are my fondest memories of them.

I'm sure the fighting game community will eat this up, but I'm not real sure who else will go for it. On one hand, it really is cool to see so much longevity and continued development for this game. I kind of wish more companies would do that. However, I don't see many newcomers (such as myself) picking this up, since the metagame has evolved over a few years now.

All fighting games--or maybe all games of a highly competitive and nuanced nature--go that route eventually. I think the main reason people are opposing it is that they think it's overpriced DLC for an outdated game when it's actually neither. It's an expansion pack for a time-tested game that is still very popular and Capcom should be commended for its dedication to keep up with this game's fans. They have to fund development of it somehow alongside all those new games they're struggling to make appealing. In my mind, it isn't DLC if it alters the game's title and overall balance.

This definitely won't be the last version of SFIV.

Well, there's going to sell it on disc too, so it's not just DLC.

I don't think the community is ready for (or demanding) Street Fighter V yet anyway.

Has the fifth character been announced yet? If not, who would you like to see?

My #1 pick would be Q. I'd love to see him/it get a proper story. I think, given SF4, that Q was built as a replacement body for Bison. "Q is Bison" is a long-held fan theory and USF4 could lay the groundwork for that.

The fifth character is supposed to be a new character, one that hasn't been in Street Fighter before. Also, it's neither Mega Man nor Asura.

Q is my first choice too, but I'd like to see Urien too, even though he doesn't really belong on screen yet at this point in the canon.

Oh, then it's probably Mike Haggar, since Capcom has decided Street Fighter and Final Fight are the same thing.
