Original Freddy Krueger Make Up

A lot of horror fans were already aware that David Warner was originally going to be cast as Freddy Krueger in Nightmare on Elm Street, but not a lot of people saw his original makeup screen tests.

Now I'm a huge Englund fan, and I still am glad he was Krueger, but I kind of wish they would have went with this makeup style for him, or some form of it. It's a little less cheesy. Literally. Englund Freddy looks like cheese pizza comparatively.

But we can all agree that they both look better than this from the 2010 reboot:

Even though it looks stupid, the Robert Englund make up is so iconic that anything just seems wrong.

This I agree with, I was just pointing out that the original makeup does look really good. Wes Craven based the Freddy character on an old man that creeped him out as a kid, and I'd bet that the original one looks closer to what he originally envisioned.

There is severe handicap that looks like nearly exactly like the new Krueger version.
