Okay, this is ridiculous. Both the Video Game Critic and PVP seem to be gone. Sometimes, they'll have issues ("The server is taking too long to respond"), but both of these sites give Firefox the message
"Oops! Page Not Found
Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found."

Seriously, try it yourself.

This may be a completely inaccurate thread in a couple days, but it baffles me that both (unaffiliated) sites are, for the moment, gone with no explanation. The only explanation I can come up with is that they use the same host, and that host is having trouble, but I haven't run into this issue with any other sites.

nah, different hosts according to http://www.whoishostingthis.com/

they might be migrating servers or switching hosts entirely. the names are registered for a couple more years.

And PVP is now up already. VGC is still down, though...

EDIT 09-04-2012: A news post on PVP says he is indeed moving servers. Still no sign from the Critic of Video Games.

Video Game Critic is back up. It has been for at least a month. I'm glad, because I love that site.

Well, yeah, I made this post in September. I like the site as well, though I'm disappointed he got rid of featured reader reviews (two of mine made it!). Also, it's .com instead of .net now.

The Video Game Critic Message Board was actually the first forum I ever joined, back in 2008. By the way, who are you on the VGC forums? I might remember some of your posts (unless you had a different username before you had to register).

I was Skinr, before he changed the forums to require registration. Then, when he removed the reader review spotlight, I didn't bother to sign up.
