Watched the pilot... the premise brought back memories of The Postman. In fact, I think they realized that damn movie was so long it could have been a TV series.

The show's first episode was pretty good, but the acting was pretty damn bad. Hopefully the actors find their groove and stop presenting such forced portrayals of the characters. I'm mostly thinking of Billy Burke and the kid who plays Danny.

Watched it, not gonna bother with it again unless I'm bored on a monday night. With football season starting, that's doubtful.

The concept is intriguing, but the story takes place in a vacuum, absent most of the political ramifications of such an event. On top of that, the writing is is poor and the characters are tired archetypes. The actor from Breaking Bad was good, though.

Reminded me of some Vonnegut stories with the Balkanization of America, strangely enough.
