My dad served in Vietnam from 1970-1971. For anyone interested here are some of the photos he brought back.

Wow, those are some awesome photos. My dad was drafted back then but never ended up going to Vietnam. Probably a lucky break for me.

Great photos, my dad also served and barely talks about it and won't even get near guns. He's over 60 now and starting to open up a bit more about it, maybe I can get some photos from him.

My dad has a small armory, so definitely no fear of guns. He'll talk about Vietnam if you ask him. He didn't see any heavy combat because he was an engineer, but he did come under fire and he fired back. It was usually incoming from a tree line, and he couldn't identify any targets pretty much just spray and pray. I interviewed him a while ago to preserve family history.

Anyone in my family who served in Vietnam ended up dying. One was a Lieutenant Colonel who died on his fourth tour.

Those photos are really cool. I'm interested in seeing personal moments like that in the war, instead of the same 3-second clips and iconic pictures you see in every documentary. It just makes you appreciate historical moments in a new light.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

My dad as well as two of my uncles served in Vietnam, and I have seen many cool photos similar to the ones you posted. Great photos!

Very interesting and somewhat eerie to see these photos. I am certainly glad that I have never had to experience any war firsthand.

My grandpa was in the Korean or Vietnam war, I forget which. We still have his binoculars... I'll have to ask Dad about it more in depth.

If they're decommissioned properly, a lot of states will let you have them. I see AT-7s, LAWs, and other stuff on sale at gun shows here in PA.

Those are some great photos

My dad didn't serve in vietnam, but he served at the iron curtain. He actually has a piece of it in a frame with other mementos.
