I just watched this for the first time in at least 22-23 years. What a great fucking movie. I appreciate it even more now as I did when I was 4 or 5. For those of you that don't remember it:

"Ben Crandall, an alien-obsessed kid, dreams one night of a circuit board. Drawing out the circuit, he and his friends Wolfgang and Darren set it up, and discover they have been given the basis for a starship. Setting off in the ThunderRoad, as they name their ship, they find the aliens Ben hopes they would find... but are they what they seem?"

Just a fun kids movie that most people of the 80's crowd should always have in their collection.

It is. It reminds me of "Flight of the Navigator", at least it has that same vibe.

This movie doesn't get enough love and attention. To rectify that, I just emailed Michael Bay and asked him to remake this. You're welcome.

This is one of my favorite eighties movies! Thank you for reminding me of its existence!

I own and love this movie also. It gets pretty weird towards the end, but it's nothing if not unique. This is a film that could only be made in the 80's.
