This comes out soon.

I'll just let the movie trailer speak for itself:

EDIT: Proper trailer.

Yeah, this movie is going to be great fun, even if the acting is terrible, which it looks like it might be. Laughing

That's not the right trailer at all, just, at all. If that was seriously the real trailer for the film, I'd have said, "I'll rent it the day it comes out, because that's some shit from The Asylum right there. Seriously, that looked fucking terrible. Try this:

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

Where's the fake trailer? I wanted to laugh at it again.

I read the book recently and while it was kind of slow and really had little action, I think the movie could be pretty good based on that trailer. It definitely looks like they solved the action problem.

Sorry to double post but I saw this tonight in 3D for a friend's birthday. I thought it was pretty excellent. It took all the good parts of the book and fleshed them out while dropping some of the slow crap that bogged the book down. It was that perfect mix of cheesy, bloody action that the name of the movie/book implied it would be. The only part that I really didn't like was the ending, mostly because they did one of those cliche "We're making a sequel possible" endings.

The 3D wasn't worth it because it really served no purpose other than to make books on a desk stand out or the bars they were standing behind stand out more. First movie I've seen in the RealD 3D or whatever the hell it is and I just was not impressed by it, kind of justifies avoiding seeing 3D movies like I have been.

3-D hasn't been fun for me since I was a little kid. It's just a gimmick they use to rack up sales.

If it was just a gimmick to rack up sales, it would have died out already. It's been going strong for three years and shows no sign of slowing down. It racks up sales because the new 3D technology is really good when done right, and that's why it's not going away. Big action movies will have 3D in them for the foreseeable future.

Many people (like me) enjoy 3D for certain movies. Obviously they do, that's why it's not fading away. Prometheus, for example, was an example of a recent movie that benefited from 3D. This vampire film does not look like 3D would add much to it, so I'm not surprised by Bum's review of it. I sure wouldn't judge Real3D on this movie alone though.
