Posting from the DSi, so I can't confirm this or provide a source, but I just heard that the US government just claimed the right to seize any internet domain ending with .com, .net, .org, .tv, .name or .cc. This would include foreign domains as well as domestic, if I've heard right.
Can someone check this out and post what they find?

This is NOT worse than SOPA/PIPA/ACTA.
US Courts dictate the actions taken. There is due process. The top level domain names are owned by the US, so they have the right to take these actions. Personally I don't like it, but it isn't even in the same ballpark as allowing Comcast or Verizon to make the call.

I actually ended up with a case of torsion, and for as painful as it was (I was rushed to the hospital from work, screaming in pain; they managed to correct it manually and there wasn't any real permanent damage since I went in so quickly), I would rather have that again than have AIDs because I like having an immune system and not paying out the dick to keep things that way.
