Grave robber - n - one who steals valuables from graves, tombs, or crypts.
Cradle robber - n - one who enters into a sexual relationship with someone noticeably younger than he or she.
Discuss.

Never heard the term cradle robber before, i'm surprised there is an actual term for it.
What is the age gap which is "noticeably younger"?
Back in my day it was divide by 2 and add 7. So in my case now, the untouchable fruit is below 18. Which isn't really a good example as below 17 is illegal.
Persons Age = 40.
Lowest Dating Age = 27.
Seems fair enough.

I think both have their positives.
Grave robbing was very important up until more modern times, if one considers the corpse valuable. Grave robbers would steal corpses of those recently buried in order to study anatomy and make advances in the medical field. As far as stealing other valuables, it's not like the corpse is going to need the stuff, so it doesn't bother me.
Cradle robbing is fine by me as well. The women or men who end up in relationships with much older partners are probably fucked up mentally anyways or gold diggers. Also, there are way more women than men on this planet, and in my experience, the women who end up with much older men are incredible bitches or skanks. The men who end up with much older women are usually dumb as a bag of rocks with nothing but their looks.
I would probably do both, but if I had to choose, it would be grave robbing. Stealing from the dead as opposed to the living seems better to me. Give me about 50 years and I will probably switch sides on this, though. I will likely be a greedy old man who doesn't want people to take my shit and wants a beautiful young woman to fondle.

im ok with both as long as its still legal. and even then, cradle robbing can get annoying since most young people like to go clubbing & listening to annoying top 40 BS.
grave robbing can get annoying, because most girls want a baby daddy.

I love both. I go grave robbing for valuables then give them to my girlfriend, she is much younger than me (she's six but could totally pass for nine)

I only rob the graves of infants. So I guess I'm in favor of both.

Grave robbing was more lucrative when we buried people with every damn thing they owned and a lot more fancy jewelry and whatnot to boot.

I was trying to find a clip from Futurama's Bendless Love episode, but to no avail.
so read the following in Professor Farnsworth's voice
"I'm even dating a young retired Brazilian actress ... Some say I'm robbing the cradle, I say she's robbing the grave."

My mom is a cradle robber; her husband (my stepdad) is younger than her oldest son. As such, I have a bit of a bias against the topic.

How much older than you is your stepdad? Is it comparable to Missy in Bill and Ted, where you know the guy from before he was your stepdad because he went to school with your brother? Just curious, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.

He's 38 and I'm 20, so while it's a sizeable age gap between me and him, my oldest brother is 39 and my mom is 57.

Good for her for losing all that weight. I know back in the day she was pushing 585.
