I saw that picture earlier today. Supposedly (drag with mouse to see spoiler): The joker is sliding down a zip line and Batman cuts it with a Batarang. Either the wire or the Batarang itself slices his face open, the result of which is a literally non-removable smile.
I think it looks cool.

Of course, I like it. It's something different and scary, and God knows we don't need the same-old, same-old when it comes to a character that has been exposed as much as the Joker.

Looks like a music video character. Plus, that's right after the change, I believe. He gets "better".

I wonder what he's gonna do. Will he have actual clownish armaments, will he just be a common thug with facepaint, or will he manage to be interesting without being corny or gory?

So Anthony Michael "Johnny Smith" Hall has been "mystery casted" in Dark Knight...
I'm excited.

My first thought was music video character.
My second thought was that movie "Dead Presidents".

Thoughts on Anthony Micheal Hall POSSIBLY being Robin/Nightwing?

He's too old.
"But what we found out is that each one of us is a bat, and a robin, and a butler, a joker, and a commissioner. Does that answer your question?"

From Nolan's previous statements, I highly doubt there will be any Robin in this or the next movie. Plus, I really hope not, as Robin sucks.

I'd like to see Bane as a villian in the future.
And not the mentally retarded bane from "Batman and Robin". The smart one that posed a mental as well as physical threat.

That's a common opinion among fanboys.
In my opinion, he's a flashy villain that should wait until at least the fourth film - especially because he's a newer villain compared to the classic ones in Batman's rogue gallery.
Personally, I love the Riddler, and want to see a better imagining of Catwoman by Nolan, but I can wait.

The only Bane story worth telling is the one where he breaks Batman's back and I don't think they could successfully pull of that story arc in a single movie.
Heck, I don't think the could pull it off at all. This isn't the 80s, so Nolan can't gloss over Bruce's recovery period with a montage. Also, Azrael kinda sucks.

According to actor Jeff Bridges improv is snaking its delightful fingers into upcoming epic Ironman.
"We’re doing a lot of improvisation in Iron Man to discover scenes and get off the written page and doing a lot of work like that,” Bridges said. “I know Jon is very interested in grounding it as much in reality as he possibly can. The suit for instance, the first suit, it looks like, ‘Oh yeah, maybe that could happen.’ It’s all possible.”

I resent that. Azrael showed an awesome aspect of batman's own psyche. it's like "wow, maybe batman isn't as crazy as he could be."
I'm probably not explaining that right.
speaking of recovery periods and montages, how cool would a superman movie be based on the death and return arc? suppose the opening of the movie was a news broadcast of superman fighting doomsday in the middle of metropolis, and then he dies stopping doomsday. then the movie is about all the people coping with his death and the four stand in supermen and all that stuff, with superman returning from the grave at the end of the film for the final battle against the cyborg?

You think Natalia ( Ra's al Ghul's Daughter and Batman love interest.) will ever show up down the line?

I hope so. If they ever bring Ra's back (I would think at the very end of this series, in order to bring closure) she would be a necessity.

Bane could contribute to Bruce's Venom addiction. That's dark and moody, just the way Nolan likes it.
I like the Bat Family. There's parts in the Robin mythology which are essential for Batman/Bruce IMO. Nonetheless, Robin's way too young at this point in the franchise to whip out. They're fine not adding him.
Talia totally needs to show up.

I was kinda sad that Talia wasn't there in the last one. I mean, sure, there wasn't a place for her, but it was hard to imagine Ra's without Talia.
Oh, and I love the new avatar, Tebor.

The whole "I expose my whole plan through shitty rhymes" works against the dark and realistic batman the new movies are going for. Even toxic steroids fit better than that.
I would like to see a well done catwoman, but we may have to wait while her image recovers.

It's about fucking time:
"Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed the company's next independently financed project will be a new version of "Captain America" reports Sci-Fi Wire.
Mixing a period story with a contemporary one, the PG-13 superhero film is currently being penned by David Self ("Road to Perdition") with a director to be announced shortly.
"We'll have to play with Captain America as being a patriotic propoganda machine on one hand but also being a very human Steve Rogers, ... [an] interesting, fascinating hero in his own right," Feige told reporters on the set of "Iron Man."
Shooting begins this time next year."
