Anyone have a bucket list?

I have one thing on mine: to perform Pink Floyd's "In The Flesh" with a full choir backing me up, and then maybe some guys in riot gear with prop machine guns and blanks, which I always felt should have been part of the stage show.

I'm with you on that last one, username. I've had a fascination with ancient cultures for a long time now. I fully intend to see the pyramids before I die. Hopefully the Colosseum in Rome as well. There's something awe-inspiring about standing in a spot where people worked, built, lived, and died thousands of years before you. Truly humbling.

Here is mine.

Fight in a revolution, attempt to swim in a vault of gold and jewels like Scrooge McDuck, walk on the moon or another planet, learn to speak and write Japanese and Chinese and own a nuclear weapon.

So you want to be Kim Jong Il.

No.

Also, I forgot one. I want to have a family.

Kim Jong-Il has a family, but never fought in a revolution. Hopefully, you'd also have your rad weapon shielded, or you really won't have a family.

My own bucket list is short, but I'm getting to the main goal
1. Become a cyborg (I'll explain)
2. Learn Chinese (already in school for that)
3. Learn networking and netsec (ditto'ed)

As for the cyborg thing, I figure that prostheses count, even if they're not cybernetic, right? Thus far I have several plates in my face/chin, a set of false teeth and one missing finger just waiting for a stiff, inflexible and similarly flesh-toned replacement that contains either a high powered laser (like the Arctic Spyder, if I can strip the casing down on mine) or a zip gun. The missing finger is why you haven't seen me for a few months.

Play in a metal band, every time I manage to hook up with other musicians it's always soft stuff.

I'd like to travel the world and see all the cool historical sites and countries. Japan, Egypt, Italy, England, France, Spain, etc... I'd also tour the United States and see all the old civil war sites and the Alamo, and stuff like that, because I'm a history person and love that sort of thing. The only other things I'd like to do are go into space, drive in a rally car race, own a Ferrari, and somehow find a way to lead sing for a band I like for a song or two during one of their shows, doesn't really matter which band but Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica, or Deftones would be fucking amazing.

When I was a kid my family went all over the U.S. for summer vacations. We saw Revolutionary War sites, historic homes, Civil War forts, monuments, and natural wonders (Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, etc), remakes of the Nina and Pinta (the Santa Maria was being repaired at the time Sad ), the Anasazi Manitou Cliff Dwellings (do NOT go in the middle of summer Confused I burnt my hands on the tar-covered log steps/ladders) it was really cool and I recommend that to anyone who lives here. Especially before going on a trip to another country. You find out how you cope with travel and the stuff you will likely need and you already speak the language. When you do visit other countries always travel with someone who speaks the native language Razz . I have friends who traveled abroad thinking they would be fine if they stuck to the tourist-y places; they were in for some aggravation due to miscommunication.

Blender. My wife swore up and down it was unplugged while I was trying to clean some junk out of the blades and I put my other hand down on frappe accidentally. It only caught my left middle finger, so I'm lucky in that respect, but yeah, that was so shitty.

I want to see the Cowboys play in Cowboys stadium, and see an Oilers game in Rexall Place.

I'd give almost anything for the chance to climb Mt. Roraima Been fascinated with it all my life, and would love to see it--especially the crystal fields--for myself.

I'd also love to visit the Mediterranean--Athens, Rome, the Vatican, Florence, Venice, Crete, Istanbul, the site of ancient Troy...

Oh, and Petra. I want to ride a horse through the canyons of Petra. With a full brass band waiting to blare the Indiana Jones theme when I ride out.

Holy fuck, that's horrible. I'm sorry to hear that... Must have felt awful.

As for my own bucketlist, I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of Syd Lexia get together actually happening before I die. It'd be great to see everyone in person instead of through a computer screen.

I also want to create a pokemon (mayhaps possible because of the fact that I'm going into genetics as a career field). Wouldn't it be awesome just to have a pikachu or something?
