The graphics are decent, the mechanics look innovative and the aurals seem to be reminiscent of circa 1991, but the premise disgusts me. Seems to me like the bats were the ones from whom first blood was drawn. The association of bats with the forces of evil is grotesquely antiquated, not to mention having been done well beyond death. I mean, I've killed bats in video games before, and if they were simply this game's equivalent to, for example, Goombas, I wouldn't feel so strongly about this. But are we really supposed to believe that they actually developed the technology to travel from their planet to ours? And how much worse could they really be than the bats, or any other, more effective predators, we have here? Those rabbits with the bows, on the other hand, them I'd buy more easily as an invading plague.
