Jeebus, you definitely bring things up the intensity scale at an exponential rate.
But back on topic.
For what reason would Twitter be a better choice than Facebook? It seems like a limited subset of Facebook. For those who enjoy only the Twitter functionality, they could just disable the other settings in Facebook, but they would still have a better looking/functioning system.

I think if you're looking to interact with people more freely outside of your immediate social circle, than yeah twitter is your best bet.
But you pretty much nailed it.

I see. He edited what Jeebus said. I misunderstood. I thought Jeebs was cursing about dudebro editing his own post.

Twitter can update faster than Facebook and has more options to post to it.

I actually hate Facebook's layout, both aesthetically and functionally. As Deadmau said, Twitter is better if you want to interact with people outside your social circle. Also, I can interact with people on Twitter and can choose to follow them and have them follow me so we can engage in discussions with no strings attached. Unless I were to setup a fake facebook page, anyone who talks to me on Facebook would get access to information that I have no desire to share with them, most notably my name.

Has anyone seen myspace lately? I think we can all agree that is the worst layout in the history of anything.

If you're only talking with a single person and don't want input from anyone else who happens to be online at the time, including people you've never met ebfore, than yeah, IM is better.

Yeah, for you and this guy.
I'll stick with my dinner table. |
Nice editing, douchebag. That sentence started "Of all the social networking websites to ever be popular". Your dinner table is not a social networking website. And it's also true that neckbeards don't use Twitter, so you're both a dick for trying to misquote me to make a joke, and retarded for making a joke that makes no sense. |
Calm down internet tough guy, me making a joke (which I stated was only a jab at you in fun) and you calling me a retarded douchbag is a whole different thing. That makes you a dick, just ban me like the Mod you are, don't toss insults my way because you can hide behind an avatar,

Hmmm... actually, now that I have taken the time to actually use Twitter, it seems a great way to get news and other stuff. Just find your favorite news site's twitter if it has one. I personally like the Google for Google related news (duh), Ars Technica for tech related stuff, and Notch for Minecraft related stuff. I also follow Syd there.

Eh, Spoony would make the show be about him and pretty much float in front of the camera.

I didn't get Twitter either, until I used it last night to confer with an Egyptian who was right in the middle of Tahrir Square during Mubarak's resignation.
That was an incredible experience. Between that and the way that social networking has played such an important part in the (attemtped) Iranian revolution and DID play a part in the Egyptian one, I finally get why it matters. Took me a while, but I get it.

Ah... G4... When they first bought TechTV and were geared towards adult viewers I was a fan. When they changed their target audience from 18-35 to 12-17, I was lost along with it.
