I can count on one hand the number of issues I read of this thing, though it was a bit of a major thing my friends would check out in middle school.

They still print magazines? Wizard was okay when it lasted, but definitely fanboy fodder. So it goes...

Wizard has been dead for some time now, just just kept printing it and hemorrhaging money for some reason.

I enjoyed it in the 90s, for sure. I actually still have a subscription to it, but it has definitely declined in recent years mainly because the issues got shorter and shorter. Kind of sad, but yeah, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did, honestly.

My uncle owned a Comic shop back in the 90's and he use to have tons of those pin-ups all over his shop. They we're pretty cool.

Toyfare's going down too which is somewhat of a shame, that one used to be pretty good; news you cared about and at one point, hilariously good strips of toys acting out situations. Robot Chicken before it existed as a show pretty much, especially since two of it's creators wrote Toyfare first. But after they left, the jokes got worse, the internet provided more information faster and the paper got thinner and less glossy until it was a sad shadow of it's former self...

^ Twisted Mego Theater was the only good thing about that magazine. Loved it as a 9 year old, cannot imagine possibly reading a magazine about action figures now as an adult. Question the sanity and mental competence of the adults who chose to write for a magazine about children's toys.

Same thing with Wizard. Loved it when I was a pre-teen, cannot fathom paying money to read anything like it today.
