From the screen shots, I must say the graphics from this hand-held are very impressive.

This would be the third title in the series to take place on a cruise ship, following Gaiden and Dead Aim.

But will this one be canon?

Aren't the others? In Gaiden's defense, I'm willing to argue that whatever affected Leon was, for once in this franchise, benign and temporary, as opposed to what happened to him in RE4.

Yes, this looks pretty good. I heard there were supposed to be all sorts of old-school style puzzle elements.

I think HUNK will play a role in this game.
Remember when they announced Resident Evil Portable like two years ago? What the fuck happened with that?

I'm playing it right now, and the graphics are way better than the Mercenaries game that came out last year. This is truer 3D, The controls are intuitive, though sometimes you have to use the stylus to do things like unlock a door; it can be a little odd since you're already using both hands to hold the system. Not that big of a deal though.
So far, so good.

BUMP. I just finished it after 13 days (as many as I spent on the first five installments) and with it, the series after 6 weeks. Revelations proved to be the Syphon Filter 3 of the series, in that it told its long story in short bursts that I was happy to accommodate, which rounded the binge up to a solid number of weeks, while also outdoing said title, taking 13 days to the other's 11.
When RE6 comes out and inevitably enters the household, I'll have to dedicate another 6 weeks to the series before adding however much to that with the new one.

I heard about this a few days ago.
Although i liked the game on 3DS i do not think it will translate well to console. Even though it's a return to more of the older style of RE in parts the game is pretty linear. I mean you do backtrack a lot but there is usually a goal in mind and there is basically one path you have to take to that goal.
I'm not sure why i think this way but on a handheld like the 3DS that doesn't really matter but when it goes to an actual console it does.

AMERICA!! So happy to see this. Like Alow said, it probably won't be a perfect port, but I'm just happy to be able to play it.
