New Haddox article.

Right up there with my favorites of all time. Great rant, and completely and utterly true. I love Democracy, but those idiots are obnoxious.

Haha, this is so true. My father is into politics, and when I was younger (too young to vote), he made me and all my brothers stand and hold signs for his politician friends. I fucking hated it. I think that the lawn signs are just as bad, but long are gone the days of winning elections on your merits. Its all about slamming the opponents and having tons of signs it seems.

Side note: Crosses fingers that Deval loses.

The mudslinging ads are just as bad, fucking juvenile.

I love how there's almost a scandal whenever someone uses a mudslinging ad around here. More often than not their popularity plummets, at least temporarily. So I don't see them often Very Happy

Another thing I hate about campaigne signs are the big ass ones on street corners. I have a hard time leaving Wal-Mart now because some asshole's giant ass sign is blocking my view of oncoming traffic as I try to leave.

There is an area at my school which is technically not school property has loads of signs about 3-4 for candidate or other such voting measure.

Hilarious that Haddox would refer to people as mouth breathers, as that man is the single loudest breather I have met in my entire life...actually, second loudest. The loudest was this fat kid who played Magic at the store. You could hear him breathing from the other side of the store and over the din of a dozen excited Magic players.

I don't get why campaign signs are allowed up to about fifty feet away from the door of a polling place. The people already know what they'll vote for well before they get there, and seeing all parties involved handing out ads just before they go in to vote just seems desperate to me.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

I actually think that many people aren't sure on who they are voting for on many election items. Sure, they may know who they will vote for for Mayor or Governor, but things such as city council, which you pick multiple people, you could be influenced on quite easily.

They say on something like that, you want to be either near the top or near the bottom, because when people pick randomly, they don't pick from the middle.

Yep; legend also has it that when people pick randomly, people with attractive/solid names get picked over those with strangely spelled or sounding names.
