Yeah, there's this line of toys based on the anime, Beyblade: Metal Fusion. I remember Beyblade being popular when I was in 2nd-4th grade. The toys were fun.

Yeah, I had to post something after noticing that no one has been posting in the Toys Forum in over a month.

The new Beyblades are gay. They redesigned them to be slightly less dangerous and made them less competitive in the process. I miss the days when Beyblade was at its peak, when my brothers and I would look on eBay for aftermarket (illegal) weight discs and launchers and tear up the arenas with them.

Judging from the images I saw while googling Beyblade toys to figure out what the hell Beyblade is, about 12 I'd guess.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't judging you guys just for being young, I just thought that it was some cool 80's toy I may have missed out on and when I googled and realized they are from this decade I became confused.

When I first saw the picture as a tiny thumbnail it kinda looked like Skip-It.

Wasn't there a game just like this in the eighties when we were kids? I seem to remember a red plastic arena thing you placed on the floor so you could battle it out with your friends while wearing neon t shirts and backwards baseball caps and shouting RADICAL! There may have been chrome marbles involved. Confused

We had POGs. You could throw POGs at people. There was probably some bullshit NERF toy.

By the time I had amassed enough pogs to be cool they were out, somehow marbles caught on and took their place at my school. Confused

What I'm thinking of was this red arena arena board that you stuck this spinning krull looking things in, they'd spin around and knock in to each other.

Pogs came and went in like a week at my school; I left one Friday with them being the epitome of cool, came back Monday with a bunch of new ones and a board and was seriously the only kid who still had them.

Nostalgia Critic covered the commercial for it as well as a couple others recently.

I'll stick to electronic devices. Beyblades never really held my attention that much. Nor did other stuff like that. Marbles were about the only thing that got me.

Did you ever get a face full of soot trying to dig your favorite aggie out of a truck's tailpipe? Confused

Unless the Beybladez have razors on the edges or something equally as dangerous, I would've been disinterested when I was younger. Tops just don't seem to translate into violence appropriately enough. Then again, when I was seven I spent days running in the woods shooting my friends with BBs, so maybe I'm just a hard sell.

I had one when they first came out. Only problem is that I was the only one that had one. So I mostly used it to spin into action figures and those spinning pokemon BK toys. I'v noticed at work that they're starting to return. We've even got a few aisle displays ready for the holiday season.

I loved POGs. I never had any idea what you should do with them, but loved them anyway.

I heard a couple of time that beyblade is supposed to be a lot of fun. looking forward to try it out.

It's not age, but size that matters. I'm sure my pubes are bigger than yours.

Wait...

Nope, size doesn't matter either. Is what you do with them. My pubes can talk. They even started their own band called Curly Ball Hair Express.
