That's a decent list. "In the Meantime" is one of my favorite songs...that'll be fun to play.

Yeah, pretty good list there (except for the 00s of which I only recognize 1 song). Rock Lobster, Bohemian Rhapsody, and The Beautiful People are especially great inclusions.

Hmm...Needs more Dethklok...and Iron Maiden...and most of the bands I listen to. I've never heard of most of the bands, and even more of the songs. I'm not too fond of this list. Other than most of the 80's songs, Foreigner, Queen, the Doors, and Jimi, I could do without the rest of the setlist.
I also want to point out that I think "Pro" guitars are a horrible idea. Looks so complicated and I'd might as well be playing a real guitar and picking up chicks.
I usually think Rockband is more fun than Guitar Hero, but I think I'll pick up Warriors of Rock long before I pick up Rockband 3. It has Dethklok, and if they make more Dethklok songs DLC, I'll be even happier. Sure one band being in the game doesn't warrant a purchase, but I like Dethklok more than the above bands combined. Also the WoR setlist is more my thing. (/Negativity Rant)
*Edited because I missed the Doors, and they added an excellent track in my opinion

Fixed. Also, I'm seriously doubtful that these are all the songs in the game. Back in the beginning, the guys behind Rock Band said they'd make a single game that constantly updated with new downloadable songs. My how things changed with the market.
Also in agreeance with Thunderhorse, once it gets into the 00's I only recognize Slipknot and The White Stripes.

I do, Josh. I do.
Also, the 2000 mix is a great example of why Guitar Hero 5 met a tepid reception. When you attempt to add in something for everyone, you put in something that everyone will hate, Songs by HIM and Tokio Hotel may be fun for preteen girls, but they're not fun for people who want to play Dio. That's why Guitar Hero 6 is basically Guitar Hero 3, Part 2. They picked a single demographic and targeted them,

Apparently so, then again Game Informer would like to think it's the keenest source for info on this stuff (I just copied off the ones GI mentioned).

It looks a bit better with Anthrax, Primus, Faith No More, and Golden Earring, but other than those it still looks like most of those aren't my thing. I completely agree with Syd. I'm probably gonna get this though, because Midlife Crisis is one of my favorite Faith No More songs.

Not that I'm a fan, but it'd be pretty funny is they had an all black metal version of Rockband, including corpse paint themes, fun onstage sacrifices for minigames ! Even the ability to cause controversy with your performance!

Black Metal was never controversial, the people who are offended and outraged by Black Metal are offended and outraged by everything, up to and including their own natural bodily functions!
