That is beyond incredible. I loved the producer yelling at Dawson to get it together.

I didn't realize the host had that much priority over the judges.

The on air personality rules the show.

Could you imagine the Jeopardy judges trying to argue with Alex Trebek if he put his foot down?

It is in the best interest of the host to play ball though. Otherwise they could be replaced in the future.

What GP said. Also, it was entirely Dawson's fault that there wasn't enough time to read off the questions so it's not like it was an unreasonable thing for him to do.

I've never seen that clip before. That is one of the funniest, if not the funniest, game show hilarity I've ever seen.

Dawson is one of, if not my most, favorite gameshow personalities of all time. I loved him on Match Game and no one can shake a stick at the number of women he kissed on Family Feud.

Well part of Dawson's Match Game legacy was the final match for $15,000. Initially the contestant was allowed to choose which celebrity they wanted to attempt to match with, however this proved to be a problem because anyone with half a brain would choose Dawson and proceed to shit on whatever question was asked. The producers found that too many people were picking Dawson (and winning), so they decided to add "The Wheel" in later seasons. This way the contestant didn't actually get to choose who they had to match with. Naturally on the debut episode that "The Wheel" appeared it was spun and landed on Dawson obviously winning the contestant an easy 15k.
