At least they didn't make the sprite look like Michael Cera. That's what I like about downloadable games, they're yet another avenue for 2D games to still be made.
Shake it, Quake it, Space Kaboom.

I love the look of this game. HD/2D is like one of my favorite things ever, many more games need to be made like this.
This is the route they should have gone with the "re-shelled" Turtles in Time.
It breaks down the story and play of the game and gives some more information. I am pumped for this, looks like alot of fun. August 10th for PSN, August 25th for XBLA.
PS: The soundtrack sounds pretty fantastic thus far.
A Hispanic dude living in Arizona knows a lot of Latinas? That's fucking odd.

Again with the IGN videos, for some reason any thread with them tend to cut off the rest of the thread for me. Unless I try to post a Reply, the last thing I can see is that second video with Video Preview on it.

Yea, I realize this, Sathien, and have caught flack for it. I made this thread a month ago and I'll never post from IGN again...
I just got it. It plays EXACTLY like River City Ransom, which is never a bad thing. The soundtrack is indeed fantastic, and I hope online co-op is planned for sometime in the future.

I'm saving a bit to get it. Having read the comic book series supposedly makes it 100% more relevant to one's interests.
I've read it. For what I see in the trailers and such, it's quite loyal to the source material. Also, there seems to be a movie in the making o.o
S'weird when a thing like this becomes mainstream... maybe there's some hope for the world after all?
Cannot stop playing it, I NEED to get the Chaudown trophy still, and unlock secret char 1!
Great game.

i just boght this game twenty minutes ago. it's tons of fun. How do you unlock stuff, though? I'm guessing it has something to do with buying things in teh shops, like "scott's late fees" or "neverending fantasy".
if not, what do those items do?
also, which character do you guys prefer. so far I've tried kim and stills. kim is a sneaky bitch with her low attacks, but stephen's raw power and potential for juggling are amazing. I'm having more fun with kim so far, because she can heal herself and hit grounded opponents, though.

Yea, FNJ this game is great, especially with a few buddies.
You unlock more moves by leveling up, but the shops help build stats. I love the River City Ransom feel of that.
Also, Scott is my favorite character so far but I haven't yet tried Ramona. This game is surprisingly difficult. I found it kicking my ass many times on the medium difficulty.
This kind of game is only good with buddies, which unfortunately I don't have.
I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

The late fees give you access to 4.95 one ups and some reasonable stat boosts. Neverending fantasy just gives boffo defense and will. Go for the bionic arm, +50 strength!
You can unlock Mr Chau by beating the game once than finding him when he appears on the overworld map. I havent gotten anyone else yet, and I've beaten the game with ramona and kim.
Ramona gets a bitchin hammer and a cheap way to get hyper mode with knives, but I prefer Kim overall. I was hoping for a dedicated grappler ala Mike Haggar out of Stills, so im a bit biased against him in that regard. Scott is boring average man.
Oh, and in the forest level, theres a secret shop back there.
Game is good, you should buy if you haven't yet. Best ten dollars ive spend in a while.

yeah, I picked still immediately, hoping he'd be a grappler, but he's still a fun strong arm.

This game is an awesome throwback to old video games.
The game is pretty much a River City Ransom clone (a good thing), and there's even a secret shop in the tunnel just like it.
The way the characters leave are all ways different video game characters leave they're levels.
Various old video game codes do varying things. Try Sonic 3 Level Select, Mortal Kombat Blood Kode, or the DDR Code!
The wolverine enemies do one of Wolverines punch moves from MVC.
Also, Unlock character 6 by beating the game with all four starting characters.
I've beaten the game with Scott, Kim, and Steven. I prefer Steven, but I like the way Scott juggles better. Kim is just beastly with her assist, but I don't like her special moves. One is a projectile with poor damage and the other constantly interrupts me during a combo. I've started with Ramona, but I don't like her so far.

Apparently character 5 is DLC of some sort and it's release has to do with the movie. Likely there's a code included with the DVD, but the DLC being released the same day as the DVD is also possible.
Also a few modes that have yet to be discovered. Either they're DLC or some as of yet unfound code.
This game was going to be so much more, but due to time constraints it was cut up a bit. Considering how good it is now, I wonder just how much better it could have been.

Even though it pulls a great deal from River City Ransom, I feel as though several of the gameplay elements also borrow from Streets of Rage.
