Is there anyone that anyone knows that hasn't seen star wars. There was a poll in kenya by CNN and 100% had seen one of them. ONE HUNDRED FUCKING PERCENT!

I know one person who hasn't. My best friend since seventh grade, and she has no prospects of seeing it in the near future. I'm currently planning with my other friends to bind her and force her through the original trilogy.

I know I've met people before that have never seen any of them. It doesn't happen too often though, Star Wars is steadfastly ingrained into modern pop culture, so it's definitely hard to avoid, at least by name.

It doesn't help that this kind of poll can be extremely inaccurate. The chances that absolutely EVERYONE on this planet has seen Starwars are pretty slim, as ingrained into popular culture it is. The only reason they reported 100% is because the people they interviewed happened to see it. That doesn't mean absolutely everyone has.

My best friend's wife, my mom's best friend and grandmother have never seen any of them.

My sister claims she has seen IV, but when I asked her who Obi-Wan is, she responded by saying, he was a guy in the movie... he taught Luke things. I think she sat down and watched it, but didn't actually "watch" it.

He was in fact a guy, who taught Luke things, though.

He absolutely was. However, when I asked what kinds of things, she couldn't answer. I know she was watching but not caring or paying any attention at all. Pretty much how I get through reality TV when my wife has the remote.

Polls are bullshit. There are so many factors to consider when evaluating the supposed accuracy of a poll. For website polls, consider that sites target demographic. Whenever I hear about a poll from foxnews.com, I immediately disregard it, as the site is most likely frequented by people who are going to support whatever "point" or "fact" FOX News is trying to represent anyway. I'm sure there are less shady polls out there, but there is still an extreme amount of extrapolation when applying the opinions of even a few hundred thousand people to, say, the opinions of potentially billions, depending on the relevance of the issue.

I've had to do this with girlfriends in the past... and I have the feeling it'll happen in the future too. I don't mind some of them if I watch them from the beginning, Survivor and Top Chef/Hell's Kitchen mainly, when I have cable. I did enjoy the initial Joe Schmo show as well.

It is a parody, but in order to parody, one must incorporate elements of that particular medium/genre, so I'd say yes.

My dad has never seen it. Actually he did go to see Episode 1 with me, but he fell asleep 20 minutes in. After that, he's never had the reason to try and watch again.

I would trade having seen Episodes I or III with anyone who hasn't and just remain having seen II, IV, V, and VI. You know. If that were possible.

I would gladly pay $100 to have my memory erased from seeing any of the Star Wars prequels.

Maybe everyone on the planet has heard of Star Wars, but there are tons of people who have never actually watched them.

I know too many people (all girls, sadly) who have never seen a single Star Wars movie. They've of course heard of it though.

My girlfriend hasn't seen any of them. I'm not about to force her though.

Hey, they weren't that bad, they got progressively better in my opinion.

They are also far better than most of the shit, Hollywood cranks out annually.

You know, taken in a "shut off your brain" kind of way, I DID like the prequels, I really did. In a "I'm grown up" way, yeah, the prequels raped the originals. But then, I TRIED to be objective. Let's face it-- nothing new is as good as something you grew up with. I remember loving He-Man as a kid, but when watched now, the nature of its toy commercialism is blatantly obvious and completely detracts from it. It's all a matter of how you watch it, I suppose.

Then again, I love me some Star Wars. I've even forced myself through the turkish Star Wars.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

My girlfriend saw them for the first time just last week. So... she's officially lamer than people in Kenya, that's pretty lame.

Has anyone else seen the Chinese-subtitles-direct-to-English version over Youtube? It's fucking hilarious.

I do know some people who haven't seen the newer Star Wars movies (episodes 1-3). Lucky bastards.

Hey, they're mildly enjoyable, minus 1's childishness and 2-3's HORRIBLE Anakin acting.
