Personally, while I enjoy all the articles about video games and such, I really enjoy the articles about the old fast food or cereal premiums from when I was a kid. I think these reviews have been sort of lacking recently, are there any that might be on the horizion? I wonder if you're interested in doing one on the California Raisins, since those were a huge thing when I was a kid and there is a lot to detail there.

I can give you your California Raisins article now:

"In the 80s, there were some Claymation singing Raisins, they sang 'Grapevine', they had a Christmas special and an aborted NES game. The End"

There's a difference between something cool from back in the day (I disagree, but hey) and something you can write something interesting about.

I ended up getting a foam hand puppet of one of the California Raisins when I was, I don't know, like six, and I remember crying when my dog Licorice ate the top half of it's face off. Pretty sure that's the last time I actually concerned myself with acknowledging their existence until right now.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

Syd should do a review article of all the beloved MIA food mascots of the 80's/90's.

California Raisins had a cartoon series, trading cards, and all sorts of other merchandise including figurines, wind-up toys, towels, stickers, and windshield blockers.

There's actually quite more to it, but if you don't like it, you don't like it. I'm sure I can sum up a lot of shit from your childhood that I didn't care for. I personally found the Raisins to be interesting as a child, and if Syd could write an entire article on McDonalds pails, I don't doubt he could do it here. I'm not saying he has to, nor does it have to be him, but I'm just saying.

I watch that Claymation Christmas every year as a tradition. It's awesome.

"I don't like it" doesn't mean "It's boring". Conversely, "I like it" doesn't mean "It's interesting".

Don't give the Raisins any crap; my dancing Coke can, Cokie Roberts, just told me that they are part of her posse. I wouldn't mess with Cokie and her fresh batteries.

I just remember they had a cartoon series on CBS around the time of Pee-Wee's Playhouse along with my grandmother buying me something CR related stuff when I was young.

I never really got into them as I was massively into the Ninja Turtles.

Speaking of Coke, was Max Headroom the last time Coke ever tried to be "hip"? Everything they've done for the last 20 years is based around wholesome, I find it weird they've never tried to go back and target a younger audience, since most people around my age do drink Pepsi products.
