I think cops should be allowed to dropkick skateboarders in every state.

I agree, little punks thinking they can skate wherever they want and then give the cops attitude. The only one not giving this guy any lip was the first one in the video who even told his friend to shut up.

Apparently the parents tried suing the city for $6,000,000 over this situation. If they were better parents the kid wouldn't be mouthing off to the cops.

Unless he pays for a spot right? You people are fucking nuts, I swear. We live with other humans on this world. You're going to hear things you don't want to hear. Get over it.
To an extent, yes. It's unreasonable to assume that you have the right to be protected from anything you don't want to see or hear. But if someone is obnoxiously doing something loud and disruptive in a public area, the rights of the general public should take priority over the right of one person to be obnoxious.
And in the case of loud music you politely ask them to turn it down, and that's the end of the altercation.

Unless they refuse to turn it down.
I didn't think of that! Holy fucking shit. Well i guess you guys are right. Send them to jail and give them a trial, because that's not a huge fucking waste of tax money. Usually a fucking mall cop is enough to get the offending party to turn down their music. My point was that anything more than the authorities saying hey turn that down, is excessive.

Why is it the more I hear about Australia, the more screwed up that place seems?

Because its shortcomings are becoming more and more public in recent years?

Mainly because while western nations go about arguing over banning music, games and movies, Australia is one of the few primarily Anglo culturesof its type actually doing it.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Well, its like Greg Proops always says, "I was psyched to go to Australia. I thought it was going to be a laid back, surfer-dude, wombat-oriented country...and boy was I wrong. Its like Arkansas with a beach. Its a whole country with a "no fat chix" sticker on it, you know what I mean?" Laughing

That's actually pretty funny. Not bad for Greg Proops, the generally pompous, elitist, unfunny comedian. God, he's so smarmy, it makes me sick to my stomach.

You. Are. Dead to me. BEGONE, FOUL CREATURE WHO DOES NOT SHARE MY SENSE OF HUMOR!!!!! Oh wow! You're Morgan Freeman!

No but seriously, he's my very favorite stand up comic and improv artist. I wish I could find a video of that Australia bit, because the best part comes right after that, and at least 80% of the humor is in his delivery and physicality. Nevertheless...

Australians, they hate Americans. That blew me away. They blame us for stuff that I didn't even know we were on the hook for! I had a guy come up to me and say, 'aye mate, you know what? We didn't have CRIME before AMERICA.'

You didn't have CRIME???? Missed the logic train on that one, didn't we?

I've read an interview with him where he explains that's actually a true story--a local actually came up to him and said that after a show he did in Sydney. That makes it even funnier. Laughing
