The stores around here started selling egg nog today...fuck yes!!! I picked up vanilla flavor and pumpkin flavor. Both are incredible! I wish egg nog was sold all year.

As annoying as it is...these jokes never get old! Laughing

On topic...you lucky bastard! I love egg nog so much, and would SO drink it all year if I could. I usually just have the regular flavor, but I'd be willing to try pumpkin. That sounds good.

Eww, I didn't know the sold flavoured eggnog, that sounds yucky. And I only like eggnog in small doses, during school I found that if I needed to fake sick, chugging a litre of it helped, a lot. Also, they started selling it like, a month ago, up here.

Eggnog is the shit! But I would def. get sick of it if it was a year round beverage, plus that shit would kill you if you drank it all the time.

I hate egg nog. Also, why's it called egg nog? Do we really need to be that specific? Are there other types of nog?

Follow-up question: are there multiple types of slaw?

Actually it's one word, derived from "egg n' grog." Eggnog is its own entity.

Coleslaw is also one word, also known as slaw. However, you can have multiple kinds with different ingredients. There's Barbeque slaw aka red slaw around parts of North Carolina (made by trading the mayo for vinegar and ketchup) and also broccoli slaw (ick).

Does anyone know if commercial Eggnog is actually made with eggs? Just randomly curious. I assume they must be pasteurized beforehand if they are used.

I'm pretty sure there are indeed real eggs involved. I'd have to check a bottle, but the scent, taste, and thickness seem like they'd be pretty hard to fake.

The started selling eggnog for Thanksgiving, which is why they sold it up here a month ago, but have since stopped until Christmas time.

It's an annual tradition among my friends to buy a 2L carton of Nog each and drink it.
