Why would anyone ever take a cold shower? The second the water drops below a temperature I like, I am outta there so fast. If there's no hot water, fuck showering; I'll just take an extra hit of body spray.[/u]

Technically its better than being in a hot shower, because some believe that the hot temperature keeps the funk/B.O. on you compared to taking a cold shower.

Cold showers are only good at night if you live in the South and don't have air conditioning. No hot water in the morning means you're gonna have a crappy day.

our water heater broke once and we had cold water for about 2 days. those showers sucked ass. and not in a good way.
also, supposedly, cold showers make your skin hard, so if you wanna look tough, you are supposed to take cold showers.

I can understand cold showers in some cases, such as above. What I want to know is, who starts the shower AFTER they get into it? I mean your either going to be blasted with really cold or really hot water.

In the summer when it is over 90 degrees there is no fucking way in hell I would take a hot shower. Also sometimes, taking a hot shower makes me sleepier.
Don't get me wrong, because all of the winter months and most of fall and spring I am a hot shower guy but when it's hot outside I'll be goddamned if I will make an effort to get hotter.

I agree it depends on the ambient temperature/how hot I am from working out/etc. But in general, warm all the way. When we first moved into the house I have now we had no hot water (in February) for three or four days while the water heater was being replaced, and it was *miserable.*

cold showers are only good for when i massively overdose on heroin.
other than that, hot no matter the outside weather. I have air conditioning and cold showers feel gross.

Even in hot weather I can't handle a cold shower. Even when I was living in Florida I would never take cold showers, even after going to the gym. It may just be a warm-temperate shower at that point, but no matter how hot I am I can't feel clean from a cold shower.

Second the first, disagree with the second.
My view is this, cold showers are only good if you are in a hot climate and need to cool off or your trying to adopt abstinence and need to cool off. I doubt a cool shower will help the last one for very long though.

OK the way to do this is first hot, then turn the temp extra cold, then hot, then cold. Repeat as desired. This actually helps get the blood circulating and is quite refreshing much like rolling in the snow and jumping in a hot tub.

I hate cold showers because when I take them I don't feel clean. To me, I always have that "Unclean" feeling. It's weird, I know, but when I get a cold shower my hair ALWAYS feels greasy. Sigh...
