I beat ZAMN. On a console. Twice. I'm considering putting it as my epitaph.

Know that I spent a few minutes trying to figure out what ZAMN was, even though I now realize you were replying to the thing I posted.
And you totally should, that game was hard as congealed ketchup.

Oh God, I hated playing ZAMN with my friends, although they all thought it was hilarious trapping me in a corner on Level 4 with those damnable chainsaw maniacs.

Too many to name, so I'll just say a few:
- LOZ: Twilight Princess
- LOZ: Phantom Hourglass
- Okami
- Pokemon Diamond
...and a shit-ton of games from my childhood.
The most recent victim was the Dragon Quest IV DS remake which I spent a good portion of this year playing before getting distracted by Persona 4. I can't even remember where I have to go now, and I don't like continuing games if I've left them for too long, so I'll probably move onto Dragon Quest 5 which I bought yesterday.

Some games that immediately come to mind:
Mega Man 1-5--I've gotten close in all of them, but either got stuck, or lost interest (Yes, lost interest in a Mega Man game, as crazy as that may sound to some).
Maniac Mansion--I came close a couple times, but I always get stuck at the same place.
Bionic Commando--I only play it for a few stages, then quit, for whatever reason.
Clash at Demonhead--I've never beaten all the 'Governors...' The ones I can find, that is.
All three Ninja Gaiden games--I've gotten to the first last boss in the first one, but I always die when he's almost defeated. The other two get a little crazy difficulty-wise near the end, so I never finish.
Kabuki Quantum Fighter--I always get the last boss down to its last bar of energy, but it always kills me first. lol
Milon's Secret Castle: ...This game is the Anti-Christ.
Castlevania
Zelda II--I lose interest quickly.
I might have more later, but this more or less sums it up:

Dead Space - I just kinda got bored of the premise of RESIDENT EVIL 4... IN SPACEEEEE, and I had better games to play
Assassin's Creed - I've always made it to Memory Block 3 I believe where you get the Counter Kill move back, fuck around for a little bit, and then I just quit, but I'm playing through it finally to the finish now.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - This one is a big contender. The game is just so vast that I never get around to it all and me being one of those guys who likes to do everything on there first playthrough, never beat the game, and I've tried to like 5 times.
CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder - Wasted a ton of time on this game and enjoyed it all, always made it to the 5th act and quit for some reason.
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven - I've spent a lot of time on this game... only on multiplayer, single-player I never really played, but my friends and I always played this game together and had tons of fun.
Some later possibly.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Literally, the only thing I didn't do was the final boss fight. I got to the final boss fight and thought, "Wait! I don't have all the souls!"
So I went back and got all the souls. Then I decided I wanted to fill-in all the ???'s in the bestiary for enemy item drops, even though I knew most of them were blank anyway. Then I got sick of trying to the rare drop for Great Axe Armor and gave up.

Lunar Knights (I've really wanted to finish this game however whenever I start to play I worry about something I might've missed and I end up backtracking out of paranoia.)
Pokemon Diamond (I got to the Elite Four however I just haven't brought myself to fight them yet. My team is in it's late fifties yet I don't think I'm ready.)
Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass (I don't think everything needs a stylus, least of all a Zelda game. I seriously wanted the option to use the D-pad and lost interest pretty close to the end after calibrating and re-calibrating my stylus in the hopes that an encounter with a medium sized enemy wouldn't look laughably stupid.)
Final Fantasy IV (I've played this game up to the end on the GBA and DS however whenever I reach the end I just stop caring. I honestly don't care for the story all that much and I just tend to lose interest when I reach the Moon.)
Mega Man 7 (I don't really think this game is all that bad however the sound effects and a few of the songs kind of irk me. By the time I reach Wily's fortress I begin to lose interest for some reason. It's the only game out of the original eight that I haven't cared to beat.)

Oh dude, I've got so many of these:
Final Fantasy VII: Way too long, may finish someday
Chrono Cross: See above. Wasn't as psyched as with Chrono Trigger (I like beat Trigger 3 or 4 times since playing Cross )
Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Never beat Subspace Emissary. Was going to, but all the unlockables from it were already unlocked by my brothers, who played the HELL out of Subspace. So I didn't see the point in beating it.
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero: It's too easy to die, especially in Level 2. Watching Sub-Zero fall to his death is morbidly funny, though
The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind/Oblivion: Got bored. It's strange that I find those games so boring, and yet I'm so drawn into Fallout 3. Maybe it's just the Mutants and lazer weapondry. they add quite a bit of class to the game
The Beatles: Rock Band: Blockbuster wanted their game back I guess Love isn't All You Need, but also money to buy this game!
Lufia & The Fortress of Doom: Got up to when I needed aluminum or something for the ship, and got bored searching for it. Besides, the game is dull, especially in comparison with Rise of the Sinistrals.
Comix Zone: TOO DIFFICULT! seriously, Sketch, this IS your comic. Can't you just erase the baddies or something?
Final Fantasy III (Final Fantasy VI in Japan) : Brother threw away my SNES. Bastard
Final Fantasy V Advance: Saved in the Void, a while before the final battle with ExDeath, and my game broke. I even had almost all the classes maxed out, too!]
The House of the Dead 3, Devil May Cry 4, Contra, Contra III: The Alien Wars, and The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventures of Link: TOO DIFFICULT. I'll be damned if I don't finish Devil May Cry, or the Contras, though.
Metal Gear Solid II: The Big Shell is too damn big
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3: Damn you, Shao Khan! Seriously, did Midway design him to be unbeatable or something?
Mortal Kombat II: Always died in the first fight. I don't know why, I have trouble wrapping my head around the gameplay of Mortal Kombat II. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the Dial-a-Kombos of Mortal Kombat 3?
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest: Too easy to die, and too long. Oh, and no saving isn't all that fun, either
Phew! That's all

Viewtiful Joe. I got to the boss rush stage and kept losing, and then I sold it. I've been meaning to pick up another copy, after I finish Max Payne 2.

GTA4-I play hour after hour telling myself I will do missions, but I instead spend my time randomly killing myself and others. Then when I do play the missions I find them boring and decide to continue randomly shooting people.

Too many to name for sure. Most recently? Guitar Hero 3 (Can't get past "Cult of Personality" on expert), Mario Galaxy (I can go to the boss at any time, but I still need, like, 100 stars to complete the game) and Mega Man 9 (Up to 74% of challenges completed. I'm pretty sure I'll never get passed 96% at the most, and even that may be a stretch).

As far as I'm concerned, if you earn the credits, you've beaten Mega Man 9. If you happen to meet the odd challenge along the way, good for you.

Getting to the credits is easy with a little practice. Hell, I even have some of the harder challenges (Beat the game without dying, beat all 8 bosses with your helmet off), but the ones that are really gonna give me issues are beating the game without getting hit and beating every boss with only 1 pixel of life left, especially since it includes ALL bosses, not just the 8 robot masters.

About that last one, it's hard mostly because you get only 1 try on some bosses, because you can't reach 1 pixel if you start their fight at full health.
What I did was get hit by some random 3-damage enemy, wear down the boss, get hit by 4 damage attacks until I have 1 pixel left, then finish it off.
The most annoying part is looking at the screen with your eyes squeezed to know if you have 16 or 17 pixels of health left.
