I feel like a day in my life hasn't been lived to the fullest without me buying a book, an album, or a video game. This isn't a plea to you guys to help me curve my spending. On the contrary, I manage to keep my budget quite under control. The problem with me is, I feel like some sort of virus where if something isn't in my entertainment portfolio, I have to buy it or obtain it, and I'll fucking obsess over it like crazy. It drives me nuts!

One of the "problems" with spending my money wisely is when I have choices. GODDAMIT I HATE IT WHEN I HAVE CHOICES! Because when I finally decide to buy something, I'll spend the entire time wondering what it would have been like to get the other choice. But the worst thing, is when I get the product home, I think "oh crap, now I have to actually, listen/read/play this." Sometimes I'll go a full 2 or 3 days without trying out what I bought, just cos I can't fit it into my schedule, but shit, what's the point of buying new toys if you aren't going to play with them?

There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.

I have noticed if you wanna get into something don't get something thats time consuming to learn

Thats why I loved Shumps!

That sentence was pure asshole right there.

How is that being an asshole? Isn't that just a simple observation?

I didn't think Ermac was being an asshole.

yeah. dont see the connection between asshole and that sentence.

but replying to your post JRA, its a matter of not having time to enjoy what you wanna do, and also its our natural consumerist attitude. its a product of growing up in a capitalist society. you are accustomed to buying things, and you simply just wanna have more. so, if you can afford it, you buy it.

i recently bought the ultimate 5 DVD Blade Runner collection off amazon when they had their special, and i only really need just 1 DVD of the movie, not 3 different versions and a disc full of extras i might watch once, but probably never will.

I could relate a bit.

I once spent money on a starter deck and collector's tin for Star Wars Pocketmodel TCG, and now I never got into it. That's 15-20 bucks down the drain. I might give it to a friend or some kid who wants it.

actually it's a mental thing. people become pack rats because subconsciously they don't like to make choices, for fear out of making the wrong choice. because of this they just aspire to own or do everything.

or so I have read.
