This is mean... At least I think it is mean. Right? It would be mean to fool people into upgrading their browsers...
Or are they the bad guys for having old browsers?

I think it's mean. I used IE6 up until maybe 3-4 months ago.
I will not be using IE8 until I buy a new computer. Even then, I may try and downgrade to IE7.

IE6 to IE7 was an uncomfortable change for many people.
I am very comfortable stating that IE7 to IE8 is a MUCH easier transition and IE8 is much better than 7.

They're offering exclusive songs for *updating*? Wtf? How about explaining the GOOD that the update does, rather than bribing people?
