I officially just gave up the sport and now agree with Syd. Fuck my previous argument. If hacker is doing it, I want no part.

I like Golf on the NES, but other than that, it's a pretty lackluster sport.
I also like mini-golf, but that's basically regular golf minus the boring.

I play golf sometimes but I get pissed off all the time because I suck so much at it. I can't make the fucking ball go up.
I did it once by hitting with the back of the club, and once when I sent the ball 80 degrees up with a 1W and it traveled 10 yards.
The courses (2) where I've played are all in the middle of nowhere, with a crapload of farms everywhere, so it's not like they could use that space for much else anyway.

In utah there is so much empty space that taking out golf courses would be pointless.

golfing is just one of those games that awesome if you have a high stress job. My grandmother was a golfer for the Tennessee Senior Ladies Team in 1996 and I asked her many times on why she enjoyed it so much. It just is something that you learn to love over time with practice, sort of like the NES for us.
It also can imply wealth and is a social gathering for people to escape the PC/Stress of everyday life and just set back and have a beer in a classy fashion. Its also a good way to bond with nature without having to go hicking or camping.

What's hicking? Is that when you put on a tuxedo t-shirt, chug a case of Miller Lite, and rock out to Skynyrd in your garage?
