They really did. They took one of the cleverest novels of the past 10 years, and turned it into a plot-holey, bastardized mess.

I never read the book, but I enjoy the series. Perhaps if I read the book my opinion will change. Is the title of the book just "Dexter"?

He actually teamed up with TWO other Dexters in that, a super old Dexter and a roided out 30ish Dexter with a giant wrench.

It kinda sucked after that change, though. On the other hand, I liked Johnny Bravo after they reformatted that, so, win some lose some I guess.

I always loved Johnny Bravo.
I liked all the ridiculous guest stars that they had on that show (Donny Osmond, Don Knotts etc).

Donny Osmond wasn't a guest star, he was basically a character on the show.
