Old news is old. We knew Prime and Prime 2 were getting New Play Control like a year ago.
The fact that I have to re-buy Corruption to get the first two games with more fluid controls really irritates me. This should have been the pre-order package for Corruption.

This isn't old news at all.
New Play Control games were known, but not that all 3 would come at the cost of a single game.
I feel somewhat ripped off as a prior owner of all 3. I would pay a few bucks more to have all of them with Wii play control on a single disk, but I'm not buying it like a 4th game for that.
Nintendo allows registration of all games. They should offer a deal to people who can prove they own all of the original games. Call it a collectors disk and put it up for $10.

It’s been two years, but gaming’s interstellar femme fatale is back.
Sort of.
IGN confirmed Metroid Prime Trilogy, a single-disc repackaging of all three Metroid Prime games.
The Trilogy compilation will cost $49.99, the premium on Wii.
According to IGN, the first two games have been reworked from their original 4:3 forms to include full widescreen and 480p support. They feature the same smooth Wii controls as Metroid Prime 3.
Metroid Prime 2’s multiplayer is included, but no online was added.
Nintendo is set to release Trilogy on Aug. 24, three days before the two-year anniversary of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption’s 2007 release.

Interesting. I'll finally be caught up on the series, since I have Metroid Prime: Hunters and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, but missed out on the first two.

Wow you guys are stupid. This isn't a ripoff, but a steal.
Retro said they were done with Metroid Prime. And at least we're getting these all in one instead of being sold separately like in Japan.

I completely agree with this. Corruption is worth that price tag alone (and tons of people still have yet to play that game).
Besides, you know buying 1 and 2 separately, you would probably be spending about 20 bucks each (40 total). AKA you are only spending 10 bucks more for a complete trilogy.
Besides, this is better than nothing, I can't wait to replay Prime 1 with the controls of Prime 3.

I agree with this opinion as well. Now we'll get all three Metroid Prime games for pretty much the price of one.
As I previously said, I only have Corruption and Hunters, so I need to get the first two to catch up.

The original MP was only six bucks about three years ago, last I checked. I still think it's dumb they didn't attempt to put in Wifi multiplayer, that was the best thing in MP2.
