Figure I might as well post something about this.

On Friday, some kid vandalized the bathroom... again. This time however, it was a death threat, one my school has take a large amount of concern in. Specifically, it stated that "A black kid will die on 4/20." This has honestly annoyed me more then scared me for several reasons, but in the end, I just really doubt anything is going to happen after the big deal my school is making. Still, if I don't show my face around here for a long period of time, it is probably because I ate a bullet and I am in the hospital. Odds are nothing will happen, but this is just in case.

well, so far there has been no incidents. We are on lockdown though, which means I gets no food for lunch.

The big thing my school keeps bring up is the fact it is the anniversary of the Columbine shootings. I will have a rant later about how it this was all handled, since I don't think it would be appropriate to do so in class.

yeah, there was no deaths at my school. I am honestly a little pissed at some of the security though. For one, we had to lock all of the classroom doors, which would make sense... if it wasn't for the fact most of the doors have a giant glass panel in the center. Last time I checked a bullet can go through glass, so why even bother locking the doors?

What really pissed me off was the security check points. Not because we had them, but the fact that one of the three entrances to the school had no checkpoint! Seriously, what the fuck? Whose idea was that! And it isn't like we didn't have enough guards at school to cover all the entrances, no, they just decided to have no one watch the fucking door! Gah!

Then, one of my teachers decided to do something different for class. Instead of say, working on something, we sat around and listened to some NPR tapes of people telling stories about their lifes. It went a little something like this: People talking about school bombing, guy talking about racist experience, guy talking about father's death in the world trade center attacks, racist experience involving a woman getting her finger nails ripped out, holocaust story, person whose brother died from AIDS. I really didn't the point of this other than making us all so depressed that we forgot about the writing. Then, my teacher ended with a technology is evil message.

Anyways, I am just glad to be home.

She is a good "teacher", and you will be writing significantly better when you finisher her class, she just is completely nuts
