Hahaha, just to clarify, my above post was related to the sure-to-ensue drama, and had nothing to do with any of the actual contestants.

Come to think of it though, he IS pretty hidious, huh? (<3 u Bman Smile )

I still think the sudden leap was at least a bit fishy.

Ok, on say Marvel vs Capcom, tell me Jeebus and Bomberman, what would be your optimal team setup? Secret characters count, such as orange venom. A breif overview of your playing style would also be nice, but not necessary. The person with (in my opinion) has the best setup, will win my vote. I like you both pretty much equal, so this is the only thing I can think of to make a descision.

Also, do either of you wanna play some MvC or MvSF online?

I dunno if I'm eligible to answer this, but I've always liked Roll and Gambit...in the 2P costumes.

Unless I'm fucking around and want the team of Lilith and Morigan, for MvC I normally use Ryu and Wolverine. My fighting style is extremely aggressive with Wolverine and I like to combo the fuck out of them. Sadly they neutered his down + fierce kick in MvC compared to XvSF (In that game I could easily get a 17 hit combo with him just with basic strikes, no super moves) but the premise is pretty much the same. When I use Ryu I tend to turtle a bit, but I like to change him into Ken anyway so I can be more aggressive, because the weak kick into super dragon uppercut is pretty awesome, and because his hurricane kicks are absolutely insane.

It's also a great combo when you have to fight onslaught because Wolverine simply ducks a lot of Onslaught's moves in his first form and you can keep Berserker Barraging your way to the second form which Ryu and his air Shinkuu Haduuken can make short work of.

On a side note, this is very similar to my XvSF team of Akuma and Wolverine. Akuma's downward kick and downward air fireballs are great, but The Raging Demon only needing 1 bar is just silly. I played this game enough to get completely proficient with every character and any team, but that's still my favorite. (Except on the consoles where you can use the random select trick to be 2 of the same person. In that case I like to use 2x Gambit so I can pull of his team super which I refer to as "The Raging Gambit" since it hits the opponent so many times and so quickly that the entire screen goes white, much like the Raging Demon. It also does 90-100% damage depending on the character you hit, which is pretty damned nice compared to most team supers).

hmm. Very nice Jeebus. Interesting because I have a similar setup. I tend to use ryu almost exclusively as defense and reserve captain america or spiderman for offense. Though, I would still consider myself pretty aggressive with Ryu, as with the incorporation of the airblock, it is much less risky to go on full blown attack mode. I am proficient in linking almost any super move with medium or feirce attacks beforehand, but I think what has set me apart from people around here,(though you and bomberman both appear to be pretty experienced and may pull this off well) is that I ALWAYS roll out of sweeps and never switch out my characters with anything other than a counter attack (save for super move sometimes)

tl;dr I approve of your setup, and I would wait for bomberman's retort, but he is winning already, so one vote to you good sir.

Also, Usa, Setup seems cool... but roll? do you do that for humiliation factor? I hate losing to roll. Super embarrassing. I've always assumed that was why people picked her, as she was basically just a super-gimped megaman. If she has some sort of exploit that puts her above megaman, do explain, as I would like to know.

A vote for Douche is a vote for a three-way tie.

For reasons other than this, I vote for him.

What's this thing with people wanting to tie matches all the fucking time?

Anyway, too late: I alternate between 2 teams in MvC.

Team one: Strider (for speed and quick strikes)/Captain Commando (for power, keepaways and his partners) The second one can be replaced by Jin.

Team two: Ryu (all purpose, I too like switching to Ken mode)/Gambit, (although he got a little gimped compared to the beast he was in XvSF.) That second one can also be replaced by Captain America.

I'll admit, I'm not that big a fan of the original MvC 'cause it removed or reduced several of my mains in XvSF and MSHvSF to mere strikers (Charlie/Shadow who was a fucking beast, Cyclops, Sakura, Blackheart, Magneto, and Cammy.)

I like to get the most mileage that I can, so if I switch to my second char, I HAVE to combo into it. It's like an OCD thing.

Yeah, Strider is usually in my arsenal, but I get bored playing him because I end up doing either the 7 hit ground combo or the air combo with the double jump. I can't really effectively use his super moves in combo's and usually just do them for chip damage. His fierce attacks are nasty though, the go through almost anything.

I love mvc2, and it's button setup is much more practical for a console, but it's just so fucking unbalanced. Every time I play outside of just my friends, I'm always against, Magneto, Sentinel, and Storm/Cable... get's really annoying.

Mostly because I like the fun and challenge of it. She really has no advantages over anyone, except size.

If I'm playing serious, I change things up. I seem to do best with some sort of combo of Ryu, Morrigan, Cap-Am, and Cap-Com...I'm a huge shoto-scrub. Also like bringing in Zangief.

I'm a big fan of the humiliation factor, and for that reason my favouritest MvC2 team is Dan Hibiki, Roll, and Servebot. It's AMAZING how often I pull off the win.

I love playing Dan (in any game), but I just can't play Roll worth a damn in MvC2. They took away her best move.

This one is over. Mr. Bomberman wins.

If anyone has any complaining to do, save it for PMs. I've done my investigations, I'm fine, and keep in mind, these are probably the three biggest vote-getters overall in this thing.

Once again, I'll tell you guys: I was expecting to lose to Douche, and lose HARD. It's like a freak surge; I did NOT pull any "tricks" to try and win. Most of my IRL friends don't even know about this place.

Now, if only you guys can show the same support going against Ross...

Damn Bomber, you have got some serious friends in invisible places! (That was a complete joke, not an accusation of course.)

Congratulations on your second upset! We love you, we really love you. Very Happy
