You didn't really eat whole blocks of cheese did you? Confused If you did you meant the little cheese snack bricks a little smaller than a candy bar right? You're not referring to those gigantic 5 pound bricks of Sharp Cheddar are you? WHAT!?

First of all, cheese isn't binding. I don't know why people say that.

Second, no, I have never eaten 5 pound blocks of cheese. They were either half pound or full pound blocks of Pepper Jack.

I discovered a few months ago that I have a natural B12 deficancy that caused me to be tired all the time. Also, it didn't matter if I slept 4 hours or 12 hours, I always felt like I never got enough rest. I started taking 500mg B-12 Vitamins everyday, as well as get a B-12 Vitamin shot once a week and now I feel way better.

Go to your doc, and have him do a vitamin count.

I usually eat blocks of Extra Sharp cheddar. Occasionally I have a few crackers. Mostly though it's just the cheese.

That would be funny, if there were at least one bit of truth to it. But the fact is the older you get the LESS sleep is required. Nice try though.

Once you're about 18-21, the average sleep requirement is about 8 hours depending on energy usage, lifestyle, and genetics/metabolism. Once your health starts failing as you get older, then you generally require MORE sleep again, just like a child. I don't know any 40-50 year olds that only sleep 3-4 hours under normal and healthy circumstances.

Not true. Your speaking of elderly people in which case yes, they need more, but 40-50 year olds only need about 6-7 hours of sleep.
Basically when your growing and when your dying. BTW nobody should be sleeping 3-4 hours. That is not healthy for any age.

Syd is what, late 20's? He needs less slep then he did 10 years ago.

Any sleep research I've ever come across states that from adulthood on, that 7-8 hours of sleep is required on average. I've never seen anything stating that 6 hours of sleep is efficient, especially since one's body temperature reaches it's lowest points after 6 hours and then gradually increases after before one wakes up. Also, the National Sleep Foundation in the United States holds the standard that 7-9 hours is the most efficient range of sleeping hours and a popular study in 2003 showed brain performance detriment from six or less hours of sleep.

If you disagree, then we disagree, but I have never seen any literature stating 6 hours is healthy whatsoever.

No. I'll agree with you there. 7-9 is what I've heard also. My main point was that the amount of sleep a 20 something needs is really no different than a 40-50 year olds. I've never heard that 6 was a good amount of sleep, I think I was more just thinking personally, as my 50+ year old parents are usually getting around 6-7 hours. Definitely not scientific study.

Completely agreed under healthy or at least somewhat "normal" conditions. Of course, there will always be exceptions. ^_^

get some regular sleeping habits. if you switch your sleeping habits every day, they F you up. i know cause my work schedule fluctuates every day and i have to catch up on sleep on the weekends.

also, take a multivitamin @ breakfast and/or dinner. they dont cost much and it helps to be on the safe side.

work out or exercise. i know gamers hate it, but it helps cause you feel better and have more energy all around.

like ross said, breakfast. it is the most important meal of the day for a reason. eat a full breakfast, and you wont be that hungry later on, will be able to concentrate better and it helps your metabolism as well.

try all that, and if it fails, you probably just have bad kidneys
