Juliens Auction House is getting ready to auction off a crapload of stuff from Neverland Ranch. Apparently MJ had a damn decent sized arcade. Here's the online catalog of items:

Note: I think we should all chip in to try to win Syd, Michael Jackson's Revolution X cabinet. If that doesn't scream "The Icon Of Pop Culture", I don't know what does.

I didn't realize he was just having a foreclosure. Everybody's been saying that he died of cancer or something.

Holy shit, how do you buy this stuff? Do you actually have to physically go to an auction? He's got some crazy awesome stuff! Donkey Kong and Dig Dug cabinets in good condition! 6 player X-Men!

Department store display models of Super Nintendo, Virtual Boy, Dreamcast, and a Genesis/Game Gear dual display! Zoltar!

One thing I didn't see was Moonwalker. How fucking cool would it be to own Michael Jackson's Michael Jackson's Moonwalker cabinet?

You can register to be be in the auction without being there. At, least most big auction houses do that. Either you can set a limit on how much you want to bid on the items you want, and a representitive will place your bids for you. Or, for a fee you can be present over the phone durring the auction and have the person whose on the phone place bids when you tell them to,

There was a lot of those awhile back when Christie's had the huge Paramount Star Trek auction.

I want that Star Trek TNG pinball machine. That is one of my all-time favorite pinball games

You know, I'm wondering if perhaps Michael Jackson took the Moonwalker arcade unit to his current home, because Sega almost certainly gave him one and seems unlikely he would have sold it.

I wonder who he plays in MvC. My guess is Mega Man/Morrigan.

Actually, it might not go through afterall. According to the AP, MJ is disputing the auction and says he didn't want to part with all those memories and stuff.

If there was anything unique (such as a prototype arcade game) this would be interesting to me. I can't really get excited over games that are available other places for the taking though, and I'm certainly not willing to pay more because a star owned it.

Haha, I know I wouldn't.

He is playing a series of shows in England to recoup lost funds over the last 15 years or so. I have been saying forever that all he needs to do is go on tour again and his money woes would be solved. I know that I would try to get into an MJ show, they would sellout in a heartbeat. Guaranteed millions.
