K guys, which tune shall we cover?
I think 'War Pigs', 'Iron Man', and 'Black Sabbath' all work for our purposes in terms of layering instruments, adding more instruments, and extending solos.

I also added an 'Other' option if you think a different Sabbath song better suits, as well as Guns N' Roses' 'Bad Obsession' as a wild card.

Iron man! On a side note, me and some friends wrote an awesome parody on a 6 hour van ride to Massachusetts.
 I am Ice-Cream man
Running over little kids in my van

 When I ring my bell
I watch all the fat kids run like hell

 They want frozen snacks
I'll give them some tire tracks!♠

I guess I'll go with Iron Man, but would prefer a more obscure Sabbath song, i.e. Hole in the Sky, Symptom of the Universe, etc. As long as I get to do "Bassically" as an intro, I'm fine with it.

Hell yeah man, just imagine the bass drum kicking in right as the last note ends. That'd be sick.

War Pigs is what I'd go with. It has good theme about politics/war and an awesome solo.

Damn, I voted 'Other' but now want to change my vote to "Iron Man." Anyway a mod could do that?

The Wizard and Hole in the Sky are better choices than any of those.

Well, the Wizard will be our choice if other wins. And Enshin, I'll just keep your vote in mind.

Are we only thinking of Ozzy era stuff? How about some stuff off Born Again or Mob Rules?

Lulz, word play. Anyways, here are some non-Ozzy songs that we could do

Die Young

Turn Up The Night

Falling Off The Edge Of The World

Disturbing the Priest

Zero the Hero

TV Crime

Some of them might not work if we're going to be having lots of instruments (which I'm guessing we are). I'll listen to all of them later, these were just songs I could get off the top of my head.

Actually, I'd say it's the opposite. According to Encyclopedia Metallum, the only bands that cover "Iron Man" are fairly obscure and Wikipedia only has about three covers. "War Pigs" has been covered by Bathory, Overkill, Cake (heard their version at a tailgating party and almost punched the radio), The Flaming Lips, Puddle of Mudd, Tesla, Nonpoint, Faith No More, Dream Theater, Gov't Mule, Sacred Reich, and Sheavy, plus more obscure bands. "Iron Man" might be more ingrained in popular culture, but it is less covered.

Plus, it's winning.

Yes, there have been quite a few covers of War Pigs, and to be fair enshin, Cake's version is part of the reason I want to do it so bad, because they showed that you can use horns in the song. Their version still licks my asshole though.

I'll agree with this, even though I am quite partial to Cake. Its just something they should not have touched...

Goin' with Warpigs.

If it's Black Sabbath ye be wantin', then I say, "The Writ" off of the Sabotage Album. That song lets me know that other people suck as much as I think they do.

A decent idea, but let's wait until this plays out before we dedicate things here and there.
