Why would a person run across an I beam in a mall? It just seems like a perfect way to slip and die. Isn't the value of one's life worth more than a mistake?
I think one of the main points of parkour is to make it from Point A to Point B using the most efficient method possible. Maybe he was lusting for the orange chicken samples he saw on the other side.

He jumped over a guard rail, then balanced across an I Beam and finally front flipped over the next guard rail. This seemed about as inefficient as possible.
