I got this game for Christmas as an addition to my steadily-growing retro collection. I beat it today for real, as opposed to using that pussy code back in the '90s. Though Acclaim does, in general, suck, they did make a number of good games for the SNES, and I can safely say that Alien 3 is one of them. I'd have actually put this on the SNES list instead of Jurassic Park. Who knows? Were that the case--this isn't a wish, mind you--Mega Man 6 might have lost.

Anyway, does anyone else here have fond memories of the game, even if the movie's a whole other story?

I rented this for SNES back in 1993, I really enjoyed it. My friend then bought it from the local video store when they were selling a ton of their SNES games. We beat it by both taking turns at the game. Overall it is a really good side scroller and I really liked how the levels were setup. However I always wondered if they didn't have any real weapons in the movie why does Ripley get the entire arsenal from Aliens? That is just me nit-picking though, overall great SNES game.

Hated the movie, hated the NES game, never played the SNES game.

I really liked Alien 3 for SNES when I was younger, I use to rent it from Videos 2 Go like monthly, along with Sim City and The Family Dog.

I just fired this game up on ZSNES and it is as awesome as I remember. The game is fairly complex. You don't just go around killing aliens and getting from point A to point B. You have terminals you log onto and you get to choose your missions. You need to study blueprints to see where you need to go. Also ammo is kind of scarce making the game a bit of a survival horror title. SNES and fans of the Alien movies owe it to themselves to check this one out.

EDIT-I actually just bought this game off eBay. Smile
