Hey guys. New to the site, but really enjoy it. Anyway, there's an NES game I've been trying to remember for awhile now, and I figure there's a chance someone here might remember what it's called.
It's a side-scrolling action game that takes place in the present or near-future. Your some guy whose girlfriend was kidnapped by a purple dude with a big claw (who you fight later as a mini boss in like the second level). I think the second level is a sewer. I know the level I remember most was the circus level, because it had the weirdest boss; as I recall, he was a big one-eyed head. His body was made up of a bunch of bubbles, and he had one leg.
I wish there was more I could remember, but I can't. So if anyone knows what I'm talking about, I'd really appreciate you letting me know what this game was called. Cause I don't feel like downloading every single NES Rom and playing through each one.
Peace.

That sounds vaguely familiar... I'll look into it. You definitely sure it's NES?

Yes! Totally Rad, that was it, thanks man. I'm so going to slaughter that one-eyed bubble dude. Classes can wait.

If you had remembered that your mentor in the game was a creepy ass magician, I totally would have got it.

Dang Wolfman Jake, I'm impressed. Totally Rad was definitely it, and after going back and playing it again, I realize my description was awful. I forgot all about the shapechanging and the creepy magician guy with the wiggly eyebrows. I also forgot how poor the dialogue was. Here, for example, is the joyous reunion of Jake and his female companion (I forget her name, so I'll call her Sheila), after Jake rescued Sheila from her captors.
Sheila: "I'm like really nervous. Like, my Dad tried to save me. And now they've got him too. I don't know what they've done with him."
Jake: "No way! He's the gnarliest professor on the coast. So, it's your Dad they really want."
Sheila: "Jake, I kinda want my Dad back, you know?"
Jake: "That's totally understandable. Wow, how about if I save him?"
Wow indeed Jake. Wow indeed.

Generic Villain, I probably wouldn't have remembered either had I not seen a tool-assisted speed-run of the game a few months back. Hope you're enjoying the game, though.
