Anyone else see this? I went today, and it was a pretty fun movie.

I'm surprised it took this long for a thread to be made about a movie with 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. I've heard nothing but praise for this movie and can't wait to see it.

That's good to hear, I thought it looked generic as fuck but maybe I'll give it a shot.

I won't spoil anything for anyone, but it has some slapstickish action sequences that remind me of Evil Dead. Isn't this supposed to be like the test run movie before Raimi does Evil Dead 4?

Wow, this is actually good? I mean, I know it's by Raimi but it looked like all the other terrible cookie-cutter horror movies out there already...

Well, maybe I should preface my praise by saying that:
1. I don't watch a lot of movies
2. When I do, I don't analyze them or anything

I saw it tonight because The Hangover was sold out. I'm not gonna lie there were some cheesy parts in it. A lot of shit going in the girls mouth and not sexually. I also liked this film when it first came out as Thinner. That's just me.

Mainstream audiences seem to be very impressionable these days. I, for one, am not convinced.

I saw it earlier tonight, and while I don't think it's one of the greatest horror movies of all time or anything, it is a good, fun horror film. It also has some distinctly Raimi moments that bring to mind the first to Evil Dead movies.

I'll probably get it from the library just for the nods to Evil Dead.

This first thing I thought when I saw the trailer was that it was like Thinner. Just saw the movie today and it was entertaining, but not as good as I heard it was going to be, and far more similar to Thinner than I was expecting.

The trailer was awful. It seemed like the suits thought horror-comedy wouldn't sell, so they just tried to make it look like your run-of-the-mill slasher.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind. |
