And Michael Clarke Duncan as Kilowog may make me not hate that character.

The movie is not doing well, and seeing as it features an almost all-male cast, it clearly needs to be made into a gay porn. So here's the gay porn version of Green Lantern's oath:

In whitest bottom, in blackest top
Nobody shall escape my cock
Bears and dandies, switches, fops
Beware my power... Green Lantern's glop!

This is the worst thing you've ever written. Laughing

"Ze goggles, they do nossing" ...for me.
Yep, Anne's Catwoman costume will be the modern goggle-donning version.

From Hollywood life (which is under the WB umbrella)
“Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies,” a source very close to the costume design tells us exclusively. “She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.”

Adds the insider, “But fan boys shouldn’t be worried. This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look smoking hot.”

A burlap sack could make Anne look smoking hot

Yeah...god this is going to be great.

And Batman: Year One is a great series, so that should be pretty good.

and GI JOE news:

Quote:
Casting is slowly starting to come together for G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes and admittedly, not of it has been too exciting. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson signed on and so did RZA but I’m still on the fence with this one. The first film wasn’t great and while it managed to mostly entertain, I’m not terribly eager to see a sequel.

That being said, THR has given us an interesting piece of casting news today as they tell us that actor Ray Stevenson will play the film’s main villain, Firefly. While I’m not too familiar with the whole mythology surrounding G.I. Joe, apparently Firefly is “a saboteur, ninja master and explosives expert” and he’s a major character in the franchise.

Personally, I like Ray Stevenson a lot. I first became familiar with him in HBO’s brilliant series Rome but since then, he’s provided a worthy take on Frank Castle in Punisher: War Zone and gave a strong performance in Kill The Irishman as the lead character Danny Greene.

Stevenson will make for a worthy villain and if nothing else, G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes will be a harmless summer blockbuster that may provide enough fun if you’re able to leave your brain at the door.

I'm embedding it so that it's easier for everyone to check it out. This trailer has me even more psyched for it.

From screenrant.com

Ron Howard’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower has officially been canceled, ending the long-anticipated (and long-struggling) project once and for all.

Perhaps it was inevitable that The Dark Tower would be canceled. Despite having a bankable director in Howard and a big-name star in Javier Bardem, Universal put The Dark Tower into turnaround in May after executives became nervous over the project’s immense scale (which would have bridged a trilogy of films with made-for-TV specials).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Today was D-Day for Dark Tower because the studio had a July 15 deadline to commit to the movies or not.” In retrospect, it seems that Howard was overly ambitious about The Dark Tower from the beginning.

Although Howard said he couldn’t stop talking about the film in December, the director has had a variety of projects in development since then. One was bound to overtake The Dark Tower in importance and it looks like it’s going to be the Formula One racing film Rush – starring Chris Hemsworth (Thor).

Given Howard’s enthusiasm for the film and the high-profile talent attached to the project, it seems like this might have been the best chance for The Dark Tower to hit the big screen. In fact, this cancellation begs the question of whether an adaptation of The Dark Tower will ever see the light of day.

In a way, it’s a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation. A low-budget adaptation wouldn’t come close to conveying the epic scope of King’s series, but a big-budget project is too risky for many investors. Like so much of King’s work, The Dark Tower will probably have to settle for a less-than-stellar made-for-TV movie at some point down the road.

The Dark Tower is one of Stephen King’s most popular creations, and I know that there are tons of fans of the series among the Screen Rant faithful. What do you think of this news? Will The Dark Tower ever be made into a film?

There's really no way to make The Dark Tower into a series of anything, even the books don't make sense at times.

Not really supposed to. It's a Stephen King book, for Christ's sake. But that having been said, it's why some people like it so much. Nonsensical and he can still make a story out of it.

I just want to see the damn tower. That's all I want.

It would be better off as a Television Show then a movie trilogy. There is a lot of background and character development then a movie could handle. Hell the first book alone would cover a movie. As a TV show at least there is breathing room. Though overall it's better off being a book series and a comic book series then a motion picture of any sort.

TV would be a much better medium.

That said, Javier Bardem was a WONDERFUL choice for Rowland.

Knowing King? Yeah, he wouldn't mind the cock sucker thing.

I wonder about the whole "tying other books into this series" thing. Would they have taken clips from pre-existing movies/TV series of the same books or have created all new content for that purpose?

When "Green Lantern 2" arrives, expect to see some big changes.

The Los Angeles Times has learned that Warner Bros is moving forward on the project despite lackluster critical reception and box office for "Green Lantern." But director Martin Campbell isn't involved in the plan, which reportedly revamps the entire feel of the franchise and starts from scratch on the sequel's current plans.

"To go forward we need to make it a little edgier and darker with more emphasis on action," Warner Bros film group President Jeff Robinoy told the Los Angeles Times. "And we have to find a way to balance the time the movie spends in space versus on Earth."

Apparently people close to the project say that Warner Bros is planning on making some significant changes on the current script outline that was written by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim. But by getting rid of Campbell for the sequel, WB is planning on taking a new approach for the sequel.

"Green Lantern 2" would likely not hit theaters until late 2013 or some time in 2014, but at this point it seems like Warner Bros is very set on continuing a film series out of their DC franchise. With "The Dark Knight Rises" out next summer and "Man of Steel" due out in June 2013, Robinov said that WB is still planning to bring their DC superheroes together for a "Justice League" movie at some point in the future.
