So, the previous iteration of the forums was as good as I could get the SydLexia.com forums on my own. I found a forum that specializes in keeping phpBB 2.0 alive, and while all the information to fix our forums was available there, most of it was very technical and it was scattered throughout hard-to-follow threads. And it wasn't in a palatable format. It wasn't, you know, Step 1, do this, Step 2, do this, etc.
So I explained that this was a recreational site that I run for fun at a financial loss and asked if anyone there was willing to do the coding for me at a reasonable price. And a guy in Russia agreed to do it for $100.
All in all, it cost me $106, $100 plus $6 in international transfer fees.

I would humbly ask that anyone who does send money please limit their contribution to $5. I don't like to panhandle, and I certainly don't want to come out ahead on this. If you would like to send money, please flag it as a gift and not a payment. Otherwise, PayPal takes a bite out of it.
