I've been watching more BBC/Sky/British stuff as of late, and I've turned out to be a really big Charlie Brooker fan, ever since the wife and I watched Dead Set and then Black Mirror. Anyhow, his miniseries How Television Ruined Your Life deconstructs a particular aspect of television in each program (romance, aging, advertising) in a really funny way. It's widely available online if you care to look for it. I'd recommend it.
