The original avatar series was some good entertainment so i look forward to this. Korra looks very interesting and i think they did a good job on her. probably.

Looks good. Not much of a difference to the original series. The series will probably heading more towards a adult audience because of the older main character.

Well the technology of the world has progressed, notice how the cities look more modern than in the original series and the evolution of steam power beyond just war machinery. Call me weird, but I got a feeling akin to Kung Fu (the series) watching this.

I'm so down for this. When it was on Netflix, my wife and I watched the series over the course of three evenings. That is the kind of cartoon that kids today need to be watching. Shit, I wish cartoons back during when I was a kid had that kind of coherence and beauty.

Saw the first two eps on nick.com

I have to say I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I'm outright impressed with the direction they took things.

I'll go ahead and say it, Amon is a more intimidating enemy that the Firelord. There is a menace I could feel when Korra is petrified that he can turn off her bending permanently. Since she's not very good at the spiritual side, I have to wonder if she's considered what the implications of such a thing would be to the Avatar Cycle, if any.

This. This right here summed up everything I was going to say.

•I keep thinking of him as a more menacing Slade/Deathstroke from Teen Titans. Especially because Steve Blum sounds kind of like Ron Perlman's Slade. That, and the mask-wearing.

•I really like Korra's character, too. She's like a mix of Katara and Toph, and adding Toph to anything makes it more awesome.

•I want that convertible "Satomobile" Razz

I haven't seen it yet, but if Bud Bundy is voicing one of the characters, it has to be good.

Moving on, I have to say that episode 10 was freaking awesome; even if it did wind up with Lin finally being "equalized." Lots of action, proof that having a beard can save your life; my only complaint is a bit of disconnect between Iroh II's voice (provided by Dante Basco, you know, Zuko) and his body type.

Heads up, the next thing to air will be a 1 hour season finale. However, it has been confirmed that there will be a 14 episode second season/Book.

Just finished the season finale.
With the show itself and season 1 I feel like they are trying to get people to feel like they did when they watched the first series. Not that it's a bad thing, just kind of leaving out some of the smaller things that made The Last Airbender series the amazing creation it came out to be.

Now in regards to the finale itself, for those who have seen it
[SPOILER:a19a875d6c]I was pretty well impressed. The ending is kind of rushed, she loses her bending, learns how to airbend, and then makes a spirit connection and gets her bending back all in less than half of the second part of the finale. Kind of rushed but all I can do is hope it's to set up some amazing things for the next season.[/SPOILER:a19a875d6c]

Regarding the spoiler, I attribute that to the rushed schedule and initially being told they'd only have 12 eps to tell the entire story they wanted.

Hm, I didn't know that. But I suppose it makes sense. Still though, they left out a lot of the little gems that made the story really great.
[SPOILER:b53c4a9f17]They basically just gave her the avatar state at the end[/SPOILER:b53c4a9f17]
