I just wanted to recommend the The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I picked it up on a whim last year and thought it was pretty awesome. The second book of the planned trilogy comes out in a couple weeks.

I just finished this recently. Overall I enjoyed it. I thought it might offer a bit more closure near the end, even though I know it's only the first book in a series. I expected to have a few more answers, and we really got nothing. I'll definitely pick up the second book Wise Man's Fear when it comes out on paperback.
