This was a Christmas present from my roommate and the sheer number of references and names they drop has me smiling. The story is damn good; I'm currently up to Chapter 11 where the Guardians are planning to capture Fin Fang Foom to appease Lady Hellbender. Other notable names that come up include Quasar, Richard Rider and the Lethal Legion. You also run into Mantis, Adam Warlock and Magus.

While I had my misgivings about only playing as Star-Lord, its actually a pretty fun system to play with. You order the other Guardians by holding L1 to pull up the menu, push the appropriate face button for the character you want to order and then press one the face button that corresponds with one of the four abilities you want them to use.

Gamora is DPS, Drax staggers, Rocket is AoE and Groot provides debuffing and set-up.
