Nice little collectible but the price is much too high for watch you get.

Still cool to have it.

Made a short video of me trying it out:

That looks pretty cool. I also like The Sphere Hunter in the background.

Sphere Hunter is my jam.

She only makes real quality content.
Super oppinionated, but she is intelligent and considered enough to back it up.

I am also in love with her voice.

Since no one's posted about it yet, it looks like I'll have to: Nintendo's taking Super Mario Maker offline early next year.

The Wii U version?

I'd have added a 2 otherwise.

No need for snark.

Anyway, it sucks when online functions in games get shut down. I wish there were a way to preserve online and make it playable elsewhere, like porting everything to Super Mario Maker 2, and allow Wii U gamepad functionality.

I prefer to see this as a positive. While people won't be able to make and upload levels with it anymore, there's plenty there already and, with the niche community that still plays it today, what gets added by that time will be a few drops in the ocean, at most. Barring a Super Mario Maker 3, when the same happens to 2, both will be on my list.

So, is it worth buying? The console screen looks washed out in the video. Does it look good in real life?

It looks very crisp and clear if you look directly at it.
The screen is actually pretty good.

You just don't get that much for the bucks you pay, but the quality of the product is pretty solid.

I just have so many devices where I can play Mario 1, two of which are portable already. And I'm at a point in my life where I have too little space and too much stuff. I might have picked that up in my twenties, but I can't justify another conversation piece anymore.

I agree. I miss having Donkey Kong Jr in Nintendo games. He was added to Super Mario Kart because it was his 10th anniversary, but I miss him. Opinions are mixed on Donkey Kong Jr growing up to be the current Donkey Kong. I wish this was dropped, and Nintendo would put Donkey Kong Jr in with the rest of the Kong characters.

I ended up buying it because I thought it would stop being sold forever. The device is ok. The games are fun, but the device and screen are way smaller than what the box makes it look like.
