Ya, the only thing was the blowing and it was maybe a bit loud. I actually like the "scientific" sounding, kind of monotone voice. Maybe that's just because I'm extremely monotone, but ya, the voice is a ok in my books.

Lol yeah, sorry about that...I record with a headset, and I'm having trouble finding the right adjustment. Its something I plan to work out before recording any more though, but thank you very much for the reminder. And thanks for the input on the performance, too. All much appreciated.

This isn't a comment so much for now, but down the road if you plan on having other videos on your page you will want to set up a play list for your let's plays.

Actually I have one already, if you check my playlist section. The playlist looks exactly like my Uploads of course (just in reverse order) since these vids are the only ones I have currently uploaded. Thanks for the reminder, though. It really irritates me when I can't find all the vids in a series at once and have to hunt for them.
HAH! Double clever, because I did some research on my own (prompted by Reeper's comment in the vid), and found out that that symbol is indeed the greek letter lambda (the lower case version, which is why I didn't recognize it.) Greek letters, of course, are often used in science to name particles, reactions and such. And apparently (I did not know this before you brought it up here), the letter lambda stands for half life.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again...Valve is clever people.
(P.S. New vid should be up tonight if I really get inspired, or sometime tomorrow if not.)

Thanks for the chant Opti lol. I would have had this up a lot sooner, but it turns out that Youtube and my high-quality videos don't get along. And even when they do, it takes like five hours to upload one. Oh well, here it is:
Its also worth noting that I'm posting the vids (along with my thoughts and commentary on the game as I play it) on my website/blog at http://soldierhawk.wordpress.com/ . I am actually updating regularly with thoughts on the game, and will be adding actual articles and stuff here in the next couple days, so its worth keeping an eye on if you're so inclined.
I tried to sound more excited for you, Usa. Hopefully not annoyingly so. (Although, I'll admit some of the stuff in this part caught me so off-guard I couldn't help being a bit overexcited and babbley. Hopefully it doesn't come across too badly.) Thanks for the look. (Speaking of, I still owe you views and feedback on your Wily Tower play through. Going to go do that right now.)

Nevermind, I have been advised to revise my post, and those who told me too are in a better position to judge than me.
I will watch #3 shortly.

Much better technically.
And you are one mean person. Those scientists were just doing their job.
(For the record, I have yet to play Half Life myself)
And you are one mean person. Those scientists were just doing their job.
Yeah, okay, I probably shouldn't have wished Hell on that one guy...that *was* mean. Considering what I had just been through, though, I think he got off lightly.
And the scientists weren't just doing their job! They were doing it very badly and irresponsibly. When you have problems that big going on, you DON'T do whatever test you want to do, especially one that involves a human being in close proximity to all the shit that could go wrong. Gordon's just a lab assistant so he couldn't complain, but SOME of the higher level scientists (like the ones who give you briefing just before you go in the chamber, who obviously know that something is wrong, and just aren't telling you.) There are so many places where the accident could have been stopped. Its inexcusable and frankly, if some of the scientists died for their negligence...too fucking bad. They knew better. They made their bed. They can lay in it.
And yeah, I know the accident had to happen for the sake of the plot, but I DON'T think its an accident that SO many scientists have lines (even while you're in the test chamber) trying to justify going on with the test in spite of obvious, massive problems. They damn well knew the risks. They gambled and lost. Nothing, not even pleasing the Administrator guy, is worth havoc on the scale they knew their machine could cause. I stand by what I said: these scientists are jerks.

Actually, there's a big plot reveal late into the Half Life 2 episodes that proves that it's all a mistake. It's massive spoilers, so I'll hold back on it.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

It's more of them making fun of the two "martyrs" and how pathetic they were.
Another good one was a guy who did MGS 2 on MSX , I liked how he talked about the history of the metal gear franchise.

Ah yeah, earlier in this thread there's a link to a guy who does Mega Man LPs, and he is brilliant. Its like a college class on MM. So cool. (He's actually one of the original LPers from that one site whose name I can't remember, who originated the idea of the LP.)

I'm just wondering who'd pay $9 to get on that site.
